Holliday, Woods, Alexander, Alem, Riley, Coleman, Hawkins, and Cutrera.

And we're suppose to be better next year!?!?

Please help to convince me of this.

teams lose players every year, and others step up. Just sounds bad on paper, but they will be replaced adequately.

This was said after we lost JR and all those players to the NFL...everyone thought that the best was behind LSU. Then they won the NC. Now I'm not saying LSU is going to win the NC next year, but just saying having a lot of talent leave doesn't mean you can't get better.

For once under Miles, we need to have some of these "blue chip" recruits make a big splash immeadiately in the way of Tebow, Harvin, AJ Green, Julio Jones, Trent Richardson, and what we expected of RS

Indy Bowl no longer an SEC tie in
Might head to Memphis or Birmingham
If Birmingham, I wonder if one of the bowl excursions is to the Saban statue

I wonder if Alabama fans are saying "Wow, we lose 2/5th of our offensive line, our starting TE, Mount Cody, Deaderick, Washington, Woodall, Javier Arenas, Cory Reamer, Marquis Washington, and--oh my--Rolando McClain...it's a good thing we won the title this year because next year is looking like 4 or 5 losses."

I wonder if Florida fans are like, "shite, no Tebow, no Cooper, no Hernandez, no James, likely losing some of the OL, no Dunlap, no Spikes, no Joe Haden--let's just hope for 8-4."

They are probably concerned but no where near Tiger fans. That's because Tiger fans are the worst fans in the country and self-loathing.

With Gonzalez im confident Shep will get used in more creative way even in the running game and he could take huge strides to be the LSU play maker Percy Harvin was for UF.

Randle is a Stud, I mean I think he dropped one pass all year that was bobled through a ton of traffic anyways. Toliver should also be good next year and will probably have alot of YAC because of how big he is and how hard he is to bring to the ground.

Ford Murphy and Ridley will be strong next year to. I dont think they will be as good as Scott Holiday and WIlliam, but they will porbably do better because the Oline will be able to open up some holes for them

Jefferson will also have another year under his belt and hopefully some more awareness with that. I mean I hate to say it but the kid definately isnt the brightest and you need to be a pretty smart QB to run Crowtons offense so Im still worried about him.

I think on D we will miss our linebackers(I hope Sheppard comes back), but everywhere else will be improved and since Chavis speciality is LBs I still think our LB willl be solid.

Elaborate. You think the LSU fanbase sucks because we have fans who support the team, engage in analysis about what is not working but don't use every mistake as a rationale to fire the entire coaching staff? You think that fans stable enough to realize every school loses talent every year and so the sky is not falling are bad for the program. If so, then you prove my point.

The current LSU fanbase has been inundated with fans who are spoiled and don't know football. They overreact to everything and they have collectively turned into a nattering nabob of negativity. In short, a growing element of this fanbase are no different than the collection of idiots we called Gumps and made fun of.

I do think people overreact to a lot of stuff but that is what happens during the offseason when there isn't anything else to talk about. I just don't think we need to call out our own fan base.

Can't wait to see everyone jump off of that bandwagon. West coast football will now go back to being irrelevant.

I'd say that's the good side of the range of likely outcomes. 2-2 outside of SEC play is a strong possibility, and there are really only two SEC games in which we will be clearly favored. So, the potential is there to go as badly as 4-8, although that's if every game that is in doubt goes against us. Likelihood is that about half of them will go our way, so we probably win two and lose two and finish 6-6. This will be the first time in about 10 years that we've started a season with this many (4) games that are pretty much already in the books as losses. Florida, Alabama, Ole Miss and Arkansas are games we very likely will lose. Auburn, Tennessee, West Virginia and North Carolina are games that are very much in doubt, while MSU, Vandy and the two OOC nobodies are very likely wins.

4-8 is worst case, 8-4 is best case, 6-6 splits the difference, and 7-5 is on the high side.
