Looks like the fact the NCAA thinks so highly of Florida got us the seed

Beating the number one overall seed 3/5 times with close games the other two probably put us over the hump

Though not excited to be potentially matched up with them again against that ace of theirs.

But happy that Omaha is running through BR again!

aTm should have had the 1. I would have given Florida 2 or 3.

hopefully we are smart enough to actually start our ace game 1 this year.

I'm hoping someone upsets them in the regional or supers. But looks unlikely

florida state's regional is super tough. any of those 4 teams could come out of it.

but can any of those teams beat florida? probably not. their pitching is too good.

I wasn't expecting A&M to get the one seed, but I sort of thought they would give it to an ACC seed since the SEC got four national seeds. Frankly, with the lack of luck #1 seeds have had, UF can have it. Pretty satisfied with A&M's draw--regional is very favorable, TCU, if they survive their regional, was a borderline one seed (and we owe them--have a good track record with paybacks this year), and, if we make it to Omaha, we get Tech (if they get past UVA--that's the one thing I didn't like).

If LSU had started Lange last year against TCU, they probably would have gone 0-2 in the CWS. LSu could not hit in that game.

Mamieri gambled and it didn't work, but it could have. Why bring this up now?

I do find it odd that Florida is the number 1 national seed but neither won their conference regular nor tournament championship.

CPM's start of Poche in game 1 last year was an excellent move. Poche was killing it last year. He was 1B behind Lange. And we were facing a lefty-heavy lineup.

Poche gave us at least as good of a chance to win game one as Lange did, considering the lineup we were facing, and going Poche-Lange instead of Lange-Poche gave us a much better chance of winning the championship.

Poche was pitching great, too. And then Poche threw two balls over the first baseman's head.

I think/hope TCU rolls through their regional. They have a bit of momentum from the conference tourney if they can maintain it. I have family on that team so, aside from LSU, they are my favorites go into the tourney. If their bats stay hot and if pitchers keep throwing to those hot hitters, they have a good shot at getting to Omaha.

Poche was cruising before that error and then completely fell apart
