Got this email this morning. I will be sure to take the survey and try to give whatever feedback I can, though I am always unsure they really listen to the average fan like me.

LSU Athletics is in the process of gathering information from fans seeking their input which will help shape the future of Tiger Stadium and the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Beginning this week, LSU season ticket holders and single-game ticket purchasers in the sports of football, men’s and women’s basketball and gymnastics will receive an email with a link to a survey asking for feedback in a variety of areas as it relates to athletic events held in Tiger Stadium and the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

“It’s time to update and upgrade, from restrooms and concessions to seating options and in venue experiences,” LSU Director of Athletics Scott Woodward said. “We are sending out a survey to help guide our decision-making for changes to Tiger Stadium, and in the coming days, we will send out another survey for the PMAC.

“No decisions have been made and no designs are finalized. Nothing will be decided until we receive and analyze all your feedback. It’s important to us that we make fiscally responsible decisions to invest in improving the fan experience in Death Valley and the Deaf Dome and to provide our student-athletes with everything they need to compete at the highest level.”

“The voice of our fans inspires our student-athletes and empowers their success,” Woodward said. “The experience our fans have in Tiger Stadium and the Pete Maravich Assembly Center is vital to every victory we achieve and every decision we make. That’s why this survey is so important. We need to hear from our fans as we begin the process of shaping the future of our facilities.”

To hear directly from Athletic Director Scott Woodward on the surveys please click here.

Here is another opportunity for Woodward to shine. I hope he knocks it out of the park.

I just finished the survey. Quite a bit of jump in some ticket price options

I mean they’ve asked before and haven’t done anything, so I’m not sure why this time would be different…

Start with the demolition of the PMAC and build a modern arena.

Was listening to LSU Daily the other day and they had Scott Rabalais (lol).. he said he could see it one day but not anytime soon. But again, take everything Rabalais says with a grain of salt

Had mentioned that there have been talks of moving the track over past The Box and that the academic side of LSU has had their eye on that piece of real estate (the track, if it moves) forever.

I agree with your sentiment though. Instead of putting lipstick on a pig and fixing/renovating, just start over. Apparently LSU hired a firm to research new facilities and they're supposed to get the report back soon.

Thank you x 1000!!!

I was scrolling down to the bottom to post this very point. Worst sound system I have ever heard in a major stadium.

They probably do listen, and just make a chart or some other easy to read visualization of everyones response

Pimple on gnat’s azz in paradise

Some people are wired to find, be, and spew negative.

There is indeed irony in this post, but those whom I am talking about won’t find it.

Having just finished the survey it seemed like it really focused on three things: better parking and traffic, more premium seating like clubs and balconies and whatever, and higher ticket prices. Although the renovation of the concourse areas looked interesting.

He just gives The perfect Pessimist response, you have the glass half full, and you have the glass half empty. The PKing has no glass, he has a paper cup with the bottom dissolved. If he was a gambler, he’s only comfortable losing, if he doesn’t bet he knew the winner. Some families have that negative Nancy, we have the pirate king.

Honestly, the last several administrations have done a bang up job improving game day at LSU. The many changes over time have done nothing but improve campus access, promote participation, and increase the overall fan experience at LSU home games. Here are few modest recommendations

1. Reinstitute and actually enforce the mask and/or testing/vax mandates. Fans deserve to feel safe.

2. Increase the size/price of the pay lots and move the free lots further out from the stadium. Although we have made great headway in recent years, I am still disturbed by the number of common people I am forced to endure around my tailgate

3. More/louder hip hop between plays. Consider adding extra breaks in play to allow for more musical entertainment.

4. Too many concession stands. Consider consolidating so that less effort is required to determine that the desired item is sold out. Extend Aramark contract now!!

5. Move TGBFTL to Bernie Moore and pipe their music in. Or don't. Whatever. Those are wasted lower bowl seats.

6. At long last, please please please station peace officers at campus entrances and only allow those holding a ticket (and documentation of vax status) to enter campus on game day.

7. Decrease the number of bathroom facilities available around the stadium. Also, some remain clean right up to game time, and pre-soiling should be considered

Charge less for concessions. Put out a winning product. Improve traffic flow if possible.
