There's a very real chance this team loses 5 straight SEC games.

After watching Moo State whip our arse, it's tough to see us going into the swamp and pulling a W. It's even tougher to see us beating Auburn with the way their D has played, even if it is a home game. It's not as tough to see us going to Oxford and pulling a win but Shea Patterson has been wrecking shite. And then we turn around to most likely get waxed by Bama.

I'm not normally a pessimist, but I have lost what little confidence in O that I had.

Can any old timers remember the last time LSU lost 5 straight SEC games?

Ole Miss isn't good, but I assure you they will get up for one game this year and that will be when LSU rolls into town.

Does O make it to the end of the season if we start 0-5?

The majority of our conference games will feature a QB that is superior to ours. It will be an uphill battle on paper for weeks.

With the $12M buyout?

Sadly, yes. And through next season as well. Strap in boys, it's gonna be a long 2 years.

I resemble that remark: 1999 we lost 7 in a row, starting with the Cigar Game.

I'm hoping Saturday was just a bad night; because if we keep playing that way it will be a 1999 type season.

You would think so. But come 0-5 and there will be some serious pressure to let him go no matter the cost

It's economic suicide to continue making bad money decisions on the HC. Don't fire ANY HC unless you have an ironclad, no $hit, homerun hire already booked, period.

Don't let Fisher play you. Don't let Herman use you as a stalking horse. I know there are rules as to how, when, where, why and all that - but as much as that's possible, you have to have the homerun - in place - before you fire a coach, particularly when you consider the last coach had a 77% winning record, 2 conference championships, 1 NC, and another appearance in an NC game.

That doesn't just "happen" - contrary to what folks believe around here and other places in the Bayou state, LSU does not "coach" itself. We saw an example of that on Saturday.

I can tell that someone did not stay up Saturday night to watch Ole Miss score only 16 points to Cal and zero came in the second half.
