Whoever is the next coach, will inherit at least 3 NFL wide receivers in Chi, Dural, and Johnson(jury is still out on Jazz), a Heisman caliber running back, and a very very talented defense. The future is very bright.

Kids still want to play for LSU. But LSU had to make this decision. You cannot keep losing to Bama, Ole Miss, and Arkansas and expect to keep the in state talent at home. That is why we sucked in the 90's. You absolutely cannot wait around until the kids hearts are no longer in it for their state and decide to go elsewhere because their team keeps losing to rival schools.

The future is bright for LSU.

In some areas yes, in other areas we are not "loaded with talent".

I kinda disagree. I think the new coach will have a mini-rebuild.

Don't kid yourself. Aside from a select few, any coach would kill to have our roster.

I agree we are not loaded in the trenches which has shown the last 3 weeks. That is why we have been getting dominated.

There are a couple of holes.

The biggest hurdle is the culture of LSU football the new guy will inherit.

Sloppy, undisciplined play and 4 and 5 star talent that doesn't give a shite if they win or lose. That will be hard to fix in one year.

ED REED, TRAVIS MINOR, WARRICK DUNN, BROCK BERLIN, REGGIE WAYNE , PEYTON MANNING, ELI MANNING. ALL LA NATIVES WHO DIDN'T COME TO LSU IN THE 90'S. JUST TO NAME A FEW. BETTER HOPE SMOKIN JOE KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING. LES COULD RECRUIT AND THAT IS THE LIFEBLOOD OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL. BACK THEN WE WOULD LOSE EVERYBODY TIL FAULK

Will we even have enough scholarship linebackers to run a base 4-3?

He'll need 2 to 3 years to get the team where it needs to be, IMO.

Which is exactly why Aleva is doing it this year instead of giving miles another. Makes his hire look good.

Assuming this is true, it's nothing but bright side. We are about to embark on a new and exciting era of LSU FB.

There is no question about it. We haven't been strong on the DL in a few years. Regardless of anything else...it ain't LSU football unless we are stout up front on the DL. And deep.
