Yeah JLee was really crushing Bama on 11/5.

And our offense totally sucked against Arkansas when we pissed off Petrino for running up the score.

You aren't making very good arguments here.

Butttttttt, was it as embarrassing as pulling this stunt? LINK

Also, the not taking responsibility for his mistakes is another thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth about Les. At least Gundy is a man!

Also, am I wrong for thinking that Gundy has turned Okie Lt into a much better program than what Les managed?

Prior to last year the only thing people knew about Okie lite was "I'm a man, I'm 40." By the end of next year, it will be that way again.

All good coaches can get a flash in the pan season, when it all falls right. The great coaches can sustain those seasons. Gundy can't sustain, Miles can.

No it's not, and the reason OSU fans were pissed at Miles is because he handled the transition from OSU to LSU about as poorly as Saban.

Fair enough. I admit I didn't recall that aspect of the transition. Someone already posted about the "way it was handled" was the real issue. Valid point.

If you could actually read, you would see I very clearly stated "sans 1/9". If you are unsure of what that means, it means with the exception of 1/9.

Typical response when you realize every thing else you said was wrong. Very good you pointed out ONE GAME in the time Miles has been here. I guess you have made your case.

Please say how LSU would be BETTER OFF having lost in November and not having played in the National Championship game last year? So that then all you idiots could bitch even more about how bad Miles sucks I guess?

Some of you are so stupid, its actually shocking that you function in society.

My interpretation is you are incorrect.

Les was the ONLY Big 12 coach to consistently beat OU.... he did it twice, as I recall and had a big lead in the 3rd game. NOBODY else could touch OU at the time in the Big 12.

To say a "Vast Majority" of fans were happy he left is dead wrong... and to say that's the case at LSU is dead wrong too.

The only ones at LSU that would be HAPPY are a Vocal Minority -- and they are just plain dumb.... if you are among them --- sorry, but you are dumb too.

LSU backs up a LOT when Les Miles leaves - sorry but that's a true statement. My opinion, yes, but a true statement and I for one am VERY glad that LSU's AD and administration have more business and common sense than to listen to a vocal minority of idiots that think Les underachieves.... when reality is --- he's IMPROVED (not maintained) virtually every aspect of the Program he inherited from Nick Saban.

Nick did great things .... but when he left all was not perfect... nor is it today... but again in my opinion Les has IMPROVED the program on several levels.

1. Character and graduation rates
2. Academic performance
3. Winning Percentage
4. Consistency
5. Stability
6. Profitability
7. Talent level* (maintained - b/c Nick and Les are pretty much at the same level as far as LSU recruiting -- and that's "Top 5" nationally.

There are probably others too -- but I think these are the ones that matter to the AD and the administration and they are all BETTER now than at the end of the 2004 season... BETTER - not maintained -- built upon and improved.

13-1 with the most embarassing loss in BCS history

vs

12-1 with a Sugar Bowl trophy, and a lot more respect

This is funny. Half the people on this board seem to think if you don't win the National Championship every single season, the season is meaningless and worthless. And now you are saying that we would be better off as a program had we not even played for the National Championship, but won the Sugar Bowl.

Its astonishing that you could actually convince yourself, because of your weird infatuation with Jarrett Lee, that the program would be better off not even having played in the National Championship game. Recruits want to go somewhere where they can play for a championship. 3 National Title game appearances since 2003 say this is a place to have that chance.

OSU was a losing program when Miles got there. He left Gundy with much more to work with than when he arrived. Pickens has also pumped millions into that program since that time. The situations were not at all similar.
