coaching under Les Miles. Kind of like Led Zepplin opening up for Trixter.

why does his defense at Nebraska look better than when he was DC at LSU?
they gave up chunks of yardage wheb he was at LSU!

Chavis's '10 defense > Pelini's '07 defense. With nearly equal talent, and less experience in '10.
Lets not treat Pelini at LSU like our defense was all-world. We were good (better than the '08 and '09 for sure) but not THAT great.

pellini had the #3 D in 05, #3 D in 06 and #3 D in 07.... yeah he sucked.....

His 06 defense was his best one. Injuries killed the D in 07. Let's not crown this year's D until they get deeper into the SEC schedule. It's pretty unlikely they maintain their health. That's actually already started.

Its because people want to only remember Arkansas 06 & 07.
But yeah, most people hated Pelini and Jimbo when they were here.

Oh man if he were our head coach!!! We'd be NC contendersfor sure!

Don't feel bad for Beaux, things have worked out fairly quickly for him and, yup, we still have the fricking Hat!

BS, at least not anyone with any brains. They surely are laughing now at us.

he would come back to LSU. Heard he is getting tired of Osborne being in on every decision like he is still on the staff.

I think the level of competition in the SEC was and is greater then the Big 12. The last year he had to coach against players like Tim Tebow, Percy Harvin, Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, etc..

But why were the same ones clamoring to fire every coach on our staff, also wanting Bo gone.
His "fricking soft zone" was all the rantard rage.

Pelini didn't deserve the hate he got for sure. All in all it was a good defense that did a good job with its personel. Just not a great job. The D was talented enough that it should have come up big more often. Yardage per game is important, but not when your defense is talented enough to finish games and fails to do so against teams without great QBs. I compare it to this year's LSU defense that is full of young players, and is winning games with no offensive support. That means more than yardage rankings.
Now Jimbo... Jimbo was a good QB coach and pretty good motivator, but a mediocre OC. He might end up being a good head coach though.
