This was also published at the end of March. They are probably significantly better now.

Too pasty white and too far north. They are going to get wrecked in Houston.

Meh! I do like the Lorde playing in the background. Why the music? Is it to try to mimic the noise and distractions during a game? Does it help players learn to concentrate when there is noise in the background like bands, music, crowd noise?
Has nothing to do with that. From the get-go, Coach Andersen has simply wanted to lighten up practices, for lack of a better term.

If that is their one's vs one's, we're gonna destroy that team.
It's not. For example, you see No. 1 quite a few times in that video. That is AJ Jordan, a converted Wide Receiver playing safety. This was back in March with a lot of experimentation happening (i.e. coaches gave Mike Caputo a look at LB).

2. I saw a whole lot more shotgun sets. HC Gary Anderson was the coach at Utah State when they almost beat Auburn. If I remember correctly, Utah State used a lot of pistol and spread to run the ball. Anderson might be slowing transforming the offense as he adds new pieces.
It's a work in progress, but will still take time to really see new schemes offensively and defensively.
Andersen has made it a point to make the defense smaller, but quicker.
Offensively, he has begun to target and recruit quarterbacks that bring a diverse skill set to the position (Tanner McEvoy in 2013, DJ Gillins in 2014, Austin Kafentzis in 2015).
You may see shotgun, but it hardly means Wisconsin has moved to a spread offense. Will be more of the same as last season.

Also, could someone try to find Wisky's recent scrimmage video. I read on twitter that the LSU coaches watched their open scrimmage from this weekend.
Don't feel like hunting for a video, but here is a recap.

I prefer to believe the coach took a poll from the team of their most hated music genres...most said top 40 was worse so he played that to simulate a hostile environment that they hated as well.

I think their Defense will have a very difficult time stopping our run game.

Is that video in slow motion?
Posted on 8/11/14 at 7:05 pm to toughcrittercrumb
Big and slow like most teams from the Big Ten conference. We will destroy them the same as we did to Iowa.

Why the music?
At Philadelphia Eagles practices Chip Kelly always has music on the loudspeakers, he says it gets players used to distractions

Ok, we can't lose to a team that listens to Lorde when they're practicing.
