This is one thing I feel we need to exploit against Bama. LF7 is a fantastic receiver out of the back field.

If we play Guice and LF together, then we should be able to isolate LF on a LB in coverage. This would be a big time advantage for LSU.

The difference here is that Bama's LB's are the best in the country and this won't be as big of a talent disparity.

They are also the best coached in the country and rarely miss assignments.

Extremely underrated part of his game

In that it is something he is great at, but "scouts" say he needs to improve.

Yep, its frustrating. He's actually a really good receiver.

Eh, besides Ruben Foster their linebacker corps isn't nearly as good as years past.

There's going to be mismatches with how good LSU's running backs are

LF7 will be available on pass routes, but it will be the option route where he attacks off tackle possibly chipping the pass rush, as he approaches the LB he goes opposite the direction the LB is coming to cover. Etling and Fournette will need to be on the same page when he cuts because if they get mixed up it could result in INTs.

I know it's not the offset I or a formation that we've seen from the offense, but See below for LF7 RB option route:

Nah. Keep this one in the holster. Saban will have Reuben Foster on Fournette every play. It'll be a good way to get his head knocked off.

But can they cover and have the speed to keep up with LF7 and Guice? Probably not.

I don't think that's his point. It doesn't really matter how good the linebackers are. Anytime you have Fournette against a linebacker it'll be a very nice advantage.

also rub routes with the TE through the LBs zone with LF7 going into the flats and Guice play action into the LBs gap. Its hard as hell to cover that and hard as hell to cover the play I posted previous no matter what the talent level.

Also can run draws to Guice out of the offset I formation with Fournette faking a flats route and Etling pump faking to Fournette with Guice getting the delayed handoff.

With LSUs talent, there are so many options. I love the offset I with Fournette and Guice.

I like it. Run that play 2 or 3 times in the 1st half, and then in the 2nd half actually throw it to LF7 in the flat. I bet that linebacker will be cheating in the wrong direction.

If Coach O and ensminger want to keep their job auditions. We should run split backs and constantly fake to LF7 and give to Guice! Use Saban's philosophy against him. Run counters, traps, quick passes, and yes mismatch Guice and LF7 on backers

This too. Splitting LF7 out wide would pull a LB/S out of the box which would make Guice more effective. Plus Bama will always be concerned with LF no matter where he lines up.

I think LF will be used as a decoy a good bit as well.
