Vegas probably knows that a lot of bets were coming in so they changed the line. They aren't worried about who is actually the favorite, just what line will bring in the most money on both sides so they can win.

Seems like they are trying to sucker people into betting on LSU then make a killing if Ole Miss covers. 6 points is a lot but recency bias will have the money pouring in on LSU.
ETA I think LSU wins by at least a TD but I remember reading a quote from some Vegas guy that said people always fall for betting on LSU

Ole Miss has a weak run defense and Fournette is playing this week. Couple that with Chad Kelly might not be playing at 100% and it's a bad combo for the rebels.
