Lindsey Scott will score LSU TD's against anyone, he's the better option after Etling

Word from those who've witnessed spring practices and all of the spring game, is that Scott is being given a very, very small window to show his abilities, meaning very, very few reps. This is unacceptable, given that Scott was promised a real opportunity and has shown in just a few reps that he can be a difference maker, with his feet or arm.

I'm telling all of you, this kid is explosive and has the uncanny ability to escape defenses, LSU needs to give Louisiana's MVP in highschool more than just a glance. You hear me Canada, give the kid the opportunity he was promised, you won't be sorry.

If he was some guy from any other state no one would talk about him. You know like Justin McMillan the back up right now. What makes you think he doesn't deserve it?

how do you know this? I mean, these coaches see him at every practice and Canada came here with no axe to grind and those same coaches want to win as many games as they can.

now you come along and basically accuse them of not even giving him a shot.

you sound like you are biased. that's ok as there are a number of biased people wanting LN no matter what.

etling is the only one we've seen a lot of. at LSU that makes him the worst.

Dude had a scholarship to go to Harvard, LSU didn't give him shite, he earned it. All I'm asking is, give the guy who turned down Harvard to help LSU, a real opportunity like what was promised to him.

Lindsey Scott is now 6'3" and throws accurate passes on a consistent basis.

LSU owes him an opportunity

LSU doesn't "owe him" anything.

given that Scott was promised a real opportunity

1. who promised him that opportunity and is he still coaching at LSU?
2. who says he hasn't been given an opportunity? I think every guy who signs an LOI has the opportunity to compete for a job. Why should he be more entitled than the other QBs on the roster? Because he's from the BR area?

maybe it was a poor decision on his part to turn down an offer to attend one of the best schools in the world to maybe get a shot to play for LSU

playing time is never a guarantee, especially at the QB position. Scott knew this when he signed to play here. A real opportunity is not a guarantee to play. It's a promise to have the chance to compete to play. There is nothing to say he hasn't been given that chance. Maybe he hasn't played well enough to take away snaps from other QBs on the roster who were also promised the chance to compete for the job.

You could've at least changed where you're from before you posted this.

Not like anyone would've taken you seriously, but at least you wouldn't have seemed like a moronic homer.

The coach who made those promises is no longer the head coach at LSU

The coaching staff is sabotaging their own goals and careers just to stick it to this kid. Is that what you are saying?

If Scott was the best at his position, he would be starting. O is begging one of these kids to beat out Etling. Hell, he's asking Myles Brennan to beat him out and he's not even on campus yet.

Everyone who's seen practices are saying it, Etling's been getting all the reps, and Etling hasn't been exactly lighting it up. Play Scott in the red zone where you have to account for the run and pass, bet you no one stops him.

This comes across as a homer take.

In reality, despite how much we all wish otherwise, the fact that Scott is well behind Justin McMillan tells the true unfortunate tale.
