Idk about a strong arm... He's fast though... He'll probably never sniff the field unless a couple guys go out with injurys

I've seen Scott play live multiple times, he's just a gamer that wins. He doesn't have the height or the presence as most quarterbacks but he doesn't lose on the play if that makes sense. He tries to gain yards every single play. Think of a Herb Tyler, Jamis Winston combo. The kid can play and he's smart as hell. I hope he gets a shot

He will get his shot. I don't understand where the "hope" comes from.

I love the TD changing of seasons. Don't even need a calendar

When you see the annual "backup QB is breaking ankles and about to dominate" thread, it means spring is here.

Good stuff

I get it. I really do. Been on these boards for years, read lots of posts, and cheered hard for the 2nd team QB when the starter faltered.

I will say Lindsey is different for 2 reasons:

1. Those who make a difference on the team - fellow players and coaches see it. When the former players were allowed access by Coach O - they saw it.

2. I know his work ethic, drive, and passion. It's little things like leaving a party early, or sacrificing other social events because there's film to break down, or some extra reps to get in before bed. He's like Peyton Manning in how approaches his "job". It's rare - and I haven't seen an LSU QB have that mentality in a LONG time.

To put it simply - it's exciting. I hope it pays off for him and our Tigers.

This boards infatuation with this kid based off his HS tape and scout team rumors, is hilarious.

You obviously haven't been listening to the former players and current coaches talk about him. They're the ones who've watched him play NOW.

I mean, it's not everyday our "potential" starting QB was accepted to Harvard. If he physically can match up? Yowzers

And you are anti Lindsay Scott why??

Who would not like him to emerge as a great QB?

I just don't understand negative post against LSU players. If you don't think much of a player then don't say anything.

Lindsay Scott has done nothing in college on game day to amount to anything. Lindsay Scott has done nothing in college on game day to say he won't be great.

Etling has managed the team well but against the better defenses he has done nothing special.

So what is wrong with LSU fans hoping for a player to break through. The two freshmen coming in most likely will not make a impact this coming year. Harris is transferring and Lindsay Scott is the only player left to make this team special.

People who have watched him in high school saw something special and HOPEFULLY this transfers to LSU.

The backup QB will always be the most popular player at LSU.

You mean the same to ones who told us Brandon Harris drastically improved? And the ones who told us Jordan Jefferson was developing. Practice rumors about QBs at LSU mean absolutely nothing.

I have zero against LS. I hope he wins 3 heismans. However the hype around him is unwarranted and will create unfair expectations for him.

Not saying this isn't true but who said these things? Im not an insider but I get on here every day and haven't seen quotes from any credible sources on any player. Only heresay.
With that said I'm a fan of his and wish him the best!

To be fair, everyone was saying Etling is better than Harris and was hoping he would start last year. That came true. Harris being better than Jennings was also true.

This. No need to anoint or bash. Under this coaching staff he will get the job he earns. I believe he is a focused young man.
