Let's Talk About Kendell Beckwith

I think this will be the most important player LSU has ever tried to keep from leaving early in the draft. This defense definitely has the potential to be nasty and can lead LSU to a CFB playoff berth. That can only happen with him staying IMO
Aranda is a LB coach and will give full responsibility for the calls on the field to his ILB.
I'm cautiously optimistic that Aranda and Beckwith will hit it off. I think he can actually improve his play from a 2nd Rd. draft grade to a 1st round draft grade. I also think he will sell his development of Borland big time in their meeting.
Beckwith has been on record saying his parents are really pushing him to finish school before leaving for the NFL and Beckwith himself said he only thought about playing college ball unlike many recruits who look for the easiest path to the NFL.
Here's to hoping (and praying) Beckwith finishes up school at LSU

We need both Beck and Pocic to come back and if they do I like our chances of getting to the playoffs.

I have a hard time believing he won't shine in Aranda's D if he stays next year. He could very well be in contention for the Butkus award and at the very least his visibility to pro scouts will increase markedly. I really really hope he stays.

I told my buddy that exact thing yesterday in regards to Beckwith being the single most important recruiting effort Les will have since he's coached LSU. If he can keep him I think it will mean more to the defense than any player I can remember in the last decade

not saying he isnt important to our LB depth, but no way. if he returns he's prob the 4th best player on our defense next year

Might be the case but as a need I think that makes him #1.
