Let's say we end up winning the SEC tourney

Do we have any chance of the overall #1 seed at that point?

I would say 2 or 3 is the best case scenario.

Almost definitely not. Wake Forest just too strong in RPI.

I think we are number two even if wake fails their tourney. But it’s possible.

It's gonna be hard to pass Wake Ark and Fla even with winning tourney

Nah. But I want the seed where we don’t share a bracket with wake

We will be ahead of ark and Florida IMO if we win the tourney and especially if those don’t make the final. Which Arkansas wouldn’t if we won the Saturday matchup.

Wake and Florida maybe but LSU does hold the head to head against Arky so that could put them above them.

Arkansas and Florida were 1/2 game ahead of LSU in the conference standings. I doubt they lock in seeds based on that. LSU has moved ahead of both in the RPI with today’s win. If they win the tournament they will have a better overall conference record and more than likely a better RPI. It’s going to be close between the 3 no matter what, but I would expect LSU to land at #2 in that scenario. I definitely wouldn’t say it will be “hard” to pass Arkansas or Florida.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they announce the top 8 seeds BEFORE all of the championship games are even all final?

Because of how the ACC tournament is set up, it's damn near impossible to pass up Wake Forest.
And that's ok.
And that's ok.

They announce the host sites on Sunday without the seeding. Full field is announced on Monday.

I believe that we still get a 3 seed regardless. Obviously just my 2 cents.

Yeah, that's right.

We're probably a 4-seed right now. I could see us leaping Arkansas though if they go 0-2 in hoover, since we already have the head to head and better RPI.
I think Wake and Florida are locked in as 1-2.

If we pitch Skenes on short rest maybe there's a good chance!

I know you're joking, but man, these last few days we have had idiots on both ends of the spectrum. Either wanting to start Skenes on short rest or wanting him to skip the SECT altogether and not pitch in 15 days.
