Let's re-live the morning of 1/10/12 from a wishful perspective

Miles is canned as soon as the sun comes up. We land a young up and coming coach.

We end up winning the same number of titles over the next four years as we actually have with miles (translated - zero). Starting with this season, that young up and coming coach wins a title with a team loaded with talent.

Congrats Coach Herman. We believed in you.

oh wait...

Not even the biggest negatigers could justify firing Miles at that point.

I could have. And in hind sight, we SHOULD HAVE. That was the end. Some THOUGHT it then. We all KNOW it now.

This has really become unfun since that day.

Think about it.
We haven't dominated since then.
We've been dominated.

I didn't know it then but it was painfully obvious two years ago that 1/9/12 Lesticles lost what ever sack he had left.

Nah 2012 Bama game was the end. If we don't blow that game 1/9 is behind us. Also no fricking way could we possibly justify firing him then

Yep. And PLENTY of rational knowledgeable fans saw the writing in the wall that night. He was done. And we were calling for him to get the axe.

had the 2012 team not had so many injury/ personnel issues, we prob win it all. as bad as that night was, there was actual cause for optimism.

yup. i said it then. the writing was on the wall if anybody actually understood football and watched all the performances up to that point and saw what changed and what did not for better or worse. the anomaly regular season of 2011 finally with his own players made most forget those crappy performances in 08, 09 and 2010. most do not realize we were a hair away from 5 losses in 2010. the big donors had said if he has another 4 or 5 loss season his arse was gone after 2010 after 2008 and 2009 quagmires. lee bailed his arse out against UF and UT and then UNC dropping the winning TD pass gave him 3 extra wins and saved his job.

when miles quit on 1-9 and refused to go down swinging by inserting Lee and going to a HUNH offense it was over. the man refuses to adapt or adjust.

miles has had 5 teams with natty talent. 2006, 2007. 2011, 2012 and 2016. remember he had 2 losses in 2007! we shoulda been undefeated!

He refused to try anything in the national championship game. Wouldn't even try JL for a spark...we didn't cross the 50. It would have been a shock that he got fired but I would have definitely been ok with it.

Even in 2011 the weaknesses were glaring. I remember the day Miles let Jefferson back on the team. I looked at my roommates and said "you can kiss the natty goodbye"

We didn't even have a first down in the first half of the SEC championship game. NOT ONE. But no one seems to remember these things.

Yeah. That would have been a tough sell.

But I DID KNOW that was the beginning of the end for him with QB recruiting and despite a lot of sunshine pumping, I was correct.

And If losing that game wasn't bad enough, he also squeezed LSU's balls in 2012 for another raise by pretending to be interested in the Arky job. frick Les Miles!

sure. 7 straight 3 and outs in the SECCG was a huge telltale sign.

2007 was bad signs also. bad player management(see kentucky), as always bad on the field discipline (see arky)....it has always been there even since 2005 he just overcame it and we won in spite of miles. but most clueless clowns only looked at wins! not actual performances. that is where the truth lay. nobody wanted to hear it then. my my how the chickens have come home to roost.

This is the one that always got me. We had like 19 yards of offense. People forget that TM7 bailed out that offense in the Arky game and the SEC Championship game.

That's f***ing retarted. At the end of the 2011 season, he was still on top of his game. Canning him at that point makes no sense. After the 2014 season? Sure. After 2015? Definitely!
