Are we a well coached team. As much as I like and respect the integrity of Les Miles, I'd have to say the enthusiasm and superiority we once displayed is gone. I'm not going to to be the one to acknowlegde that the swagger can be found along I-20 in Tuscaloosa, but the proof certainly appars to be in the pudding. I'd hope my negatiger status can be turned to positiger before long, but it's like Miles has settled for settling. I'll hang up and listen.

i also will say this. There is a reason the bama team looks VERY similar to the tiger teams we miss. When i watch bama play, i feel like i am watching my 2003 tigers. The thing is, saban knows excactly what kind of team he wants. Knows what everyone needs to do to acheive his vision.

Miles seems like he doesn't know.

sad to say it. But we have zero idenity. And crowton can't develop quaterbacks worth a shite.

I think everything went downhill when we lost our intangibles coach in the offseason.

I agree 1000% Bama looks just like the 2003 LSU team. In my opinion Tennessee looks like the 2000 LSU team. They will be very good soon enough. Although I hate Bama, thy are enjoyable to watch with a fired up fanbase.

Our problems stem from marginal play by the D-line and bad play by the O-line. Add an inexperienced Qb to the mix and that summarizes our inability to dominate opponents. I think we will get better over the course of the year but a 9 win season (10 at best) is about what we should expect. I really don't like the Terrance Cody vs T-Bob Hebert match-up.

Talent can only get you so far. In my opinion, hell I'm all out of opinions. We are a sinking ship I believe.

There are so many ways we go with this identity-swagga thing that I don't know where to start.

ETA: I will say we have no depth at the X-factor position. Miles is known for not being able to recruit the X-factor position effectively.

with the way we are playing bama, auburn, arkansas, florida, ole miss, georgia are losses.

auburn and georgia are likely wins though.

time to get montgomery, loston, davenport, ford in the mix.

but i think miles wants to save them for a "fifth" year.

Our coaches are being cautious.. probably for good reason.

Our qb play is tentative and after last year with JL, I think they're nervous about an aggressive game plan.

Honestly, I like JJ, but I wonder if the trial by fire JL went through last year might have made him stonger and more determinded. I have bad vibes with JJ right now. He's highly inconsistant.

But I'll do my best to be positive and hope the coaches open up our play book and roll the dice. If we are gonna go down, I want it to be with fireworks. Let's let our talent do their thing.

the only real problem with this team is the o-line. JJ is going to get his timing down. But nothing can really be done about the O-line at this point. I suppose these are our 5 best lineman and they just can't physically dominate even a team like ULL. Hebert and Dworszck needed a couple more years in the weight room before becoming starters. Hitt is on the smallish size also. Maybe Barkley and Black are OK, but they dont really dominate or pancake anyone ever.

Green ran, you need to chill out with your "ship is sinking" routine. You are abroken record.
