Or we could offer Ron Abernathy $150 and a ham sandwich.

You get what you pay for.

What makes you think Jay would ever want to move at all?

If that's the case let's just offer Calipari $1 more than his current salary at Kentucky.

I do not see why we don't. The conference is prime for the picking. My God, it is Kentucky and everybody else. Not expecting LSU to be a Duke or a Kentucky in Basketball. But there is not a damn reason in the world that we could could not step it up to an Arizona level, or something along those lines.

The sooner LSU fans accept this the better. Let's just pour everything into football and baseball and shoot this lame horse behind the barn.

i'd be shocked if LSU offered more than 2.5 to anyone. I bet we offer 2 to a mid major guy, which I'm cool with depending on who it is

And no other SEC team has had this idea?
Look at all the hires that have been made in this conference. It's very difficult to get the right guy.

LSU hasn't been a consistent winner since the early 90s. This hire isn't correcting a small dip in performance. This program has been dead for 3 decades.
I think lsu can find a guy to make a run now and then but it would be blind luck to find a coach that's going to make LSU into a tourney staple and it would probably involve cheating to do it.

They should go after Danny Manning.

I understand swinging for the fences but no elite coach is coming to lsu for basketball
