Les Miles has been the head coach at LSU longer than anyone apart from Charlie Mac who coached from 1962 until 1979. Cholly Mac finished with the following stats:

Cholly Mac
Games:203
Wins: 135
Losses: 61
Ties: 7
Pctg: 682
Last three season: 8-4/8-4/7-3

Miles:
Games:142
Wins: 110
Losses: 32
Ties: 0
Pctg: .775

Last three seasons: 10-3/8-5/7-3*

Coach Miles also has SEVEN 10 win seasons out of eleven years. Further more, he has 3-in-a-row ten win seasons followed by four-in-a-row ten win seasons. No coach has EVER done this at LSU! EVER!

This year was not supposed to be our year anyway. It is a young team. We seem to have gotten all caught up in the hype about LSU being #2 nationally a couple weeks ago, but truth be told, we weren't and aren't. It is only by grace that we were undefeated three weeks ago. Injuries have now caught up with us. Last week against Ole Piss only four starters remained on the O-line. Fournette is only a sophomore folks. A freaking sophomore! He is NOT and upperclassman! And look what he has been able to do as a real sophomore under Les Miles!

Sure. . . Call for Coach Miles' head and fire him, you young cubs who don't remember the days under Stovall, or Archer, or Hallman. If you can't remember David Woodley wearing the #8 Jersey you don't really have a lot of Tiger experience to go on and more than likely have been spoiled with two National Championships within four years of each other. Seriously, don't turn into Gumps with that entitlement mentality. Show a little class and a little loyalty to a man who turned down the head coaching job at his own Alma Mater TWICE to coach our Bayou Bengals.

(Besides,if your main concern is the state of our football team, then maybe you're not any better than a Gump who never set foot on campus as a student. Might as well go pull for the Saints like you played on that team too.)

One thing is for G-D sure! Les Miles NEVER lost to UAB or Southern Miss! The school that kept Mike Archer through four years going 10-1-1 (tie with Ohio State); 8-4 (similar to this year's record); 4-7 (A LOSING SEASON after starting off 10-1-1); and 5-6 (a second consecutive losing season)! The last two seasons under Archer we went 2 for 5 in SEC play! And y'all wanna dump Les Miles after taking a serious hit with a s***load of injuries and a young team???

You Gump-humpers that wanna get rid of Les after a shitty (yes I'll admit it) three game run are the same Gump-humpers that can't show me an LSU diploma on your wall, or even three consecutive semesters of class records from having attended LSU. You're a bunch of candy-arse wusses that are, at best, Alabama wanna-be's.

It's truly amazing that a "high ranking source" is able to say that several people would be willing to buy out Miles' and his staff's contract for 17 million dollars, but these same people weren't willing to provide similar funds last year when LSU was facing bankruptcy as a university! What a bunch of mindless, inept, incompetent dingle-berries inhabit the once great state of Louisiana. No wonder the nation is in such sad shape. There's a whole section of Louisiana that can't think past football!

All of you Gump-humpin', Miles-bashin', twits!

Les has 1 more bad year and that is half a decade of diminishing returns. not a good way to run a business.

All of those stats are in the past tense. Maybe if CLM would have answered questions during interviews I might feel sorry for him. His ego got in the way and he thought that he was bigger than the university

Apples to oranges my friend.

McClendon last coached in 1979. Don't you think that a little bit has changed in the last 36 years in regards to the landscape of college football and the culture of LSU athletics?

what do you think the record with miles is going to be next year?

I think we will be 7-5 with losses to Wisconsin/Florida, auburn/A&M, ole miss, bama and arky.

ETA: this is with Miles has the HC.

JMHO, I think he may get one more year just because of the upcoming recruiting class. I think there will be some assistant coaches looking for jobs though.

Shut up, old fart.

I went to LSU but I know a lot of people who have just been lifelong fans because they're from Louisiana and their dad took them to games when they were children. Had I not gone there I'd still be a die-hard fan. That right there told me you don't know anything.

Really, what a waste of time to read. We don't make the decisions. No matter what we want, we don't have a say.

7 and 5 next year? I certainly hope not, but if so, then I will no longer defend him. Right now, though, I can't abandon him. In 11 seasons he has coached us to 10 or more wins seven times. That's freaking rare.

And yes, I understand I pissed off a bunch of y'all, but I'm not too concerned about it unless you can show me your diploma. Sorry to be such a hard arse to my brethren. I do truly love y'all, but this s*** has me a bit pissed about how fickle y'all are.
