It's not just for the people in the stands, the players get a good kick out of that shite too. Bass and hi-hats keeps youngins cranked up.
Obviously some of you are old as frick. Alot of yalls ideas about how they should be focused on the game and not PA music is ludicrously flawed. It's not that hard to stay loose and just bounce to some music while still being on point about what you have to do. The only way that fits that argument if they were to pipe it in during plays which they cant.
Just say you don't like rap, i mean, thats the root of it right? Don't deflect because of your intolerance.
Lets players feel it, keeps student section feelin it and recruits like that shite too. Pretty much everyone does except old people.

Yes, some of us are older….but we know how to spell bass (base). The players get excited about the crowd getting excited. They feed off the fan's excitement. Coaches routinely caution their players to "control" their emotions during the game as this usually gets in the way of good athletic performance (Saban speaks of this often). When I see the players more involved in what the stadium is doing rather than focused on the game, I get concerned. There is a difference between a celebration near the end of a game (when the game is well in hand) and players dancing and grinding to a song played by the band (or over the speakers).

Well, so much for the uniqueness of Tiger Stadium.
That is another loss in my book. Geez I give up. Take something that is not broken and break it. Stupid S.O.B.

Piped in music is the future, get used to it. Hip Hop fires up wth players and the student section, it's here to stay.

As for the players , If they're so busy worried about getting there groove on , we don't have the right players on the field or team... There is a time and place For everything and that's the time to play FOOTBALL !! Get a iPod and play it all you want on your own time ...

So you don't listen to music at work?

They're not working , they are playing. Just sayin , LoL

I remember when Tiger Stadium Rocked without a pacifier in the players mouth. We all know how special that stadium can be, I just rather have the energy generated with real strong desire to compete and not from load music pumped in that only works for a play or 2.

And Yes the Music , does help to pump up the crowd , I wish they would do a better job picking music, some hip hop is ok , but not the silly stupid ones that glorifying plight and crime and sex.

It is a pantheon of concrete and steel

It is a city that rises defiantly in the delta alongside the father of waters

It is the humidity of autumn evenings that drapes stately oaks and broad magnolias

It is haunted ... and it is loud.

It is Halloween night & Cannon blasts

It is a Louisiana gumbo of humanity that cheers its Tigers to victory & destroys the dreams of invading foes

Chance of rain is ... never!

It is the cathedral of college football & worship happens here

When the sun finds its home in the western sky it is a field of glory for sure ...

But much more than that it is a sacred place

And it is Saturday night in Death Valley

The Cathedral of College Football...

I can't stand the piped in music during the game, regardless of what stadium it is. That being said, it's not going to change.
