In attempt to objectively assist rational thinking people analyze whom they feel is better Jarrett Lee or Jordan Jefferson, I have put together a list comparative statistics for first six game of last year and this year. It should be noted that after the first 6 games is when JL’s stats tanked. He threw and additional 10 interceptions and finished the year with a 116.93 efficiency rating.

Jarrett Lee 2008
Passing yd’s 659
Int’s 6
Sacks 2
TD’s 8
Percentage 59.5
Efficiency 138.66
Team Points 187-129
Record 5-1

Jordan Jefferson 2009
Passing Yd’s 1016
Int’s 3
Sacks 18
TD’s 7
Percentage 62.8
Efficiency 133.41
Team Points 138-87
Record 5-1

Let the debate begin….

Except TD's, points, and wins. And Lee wasn't a full time starter for the first six games either.

ETA: The big difference for JJ was he could make plays with his feet. He was supposed to be able to avoid the sacks that Lee couldn't. He probably could, but with the weak O Line, and his late/unwillingness to make a decision/get rid of the ball is not helping.

The point I was trying to make is...the stats may differ a little here and there, but the results are the same... 5-1 and a loss the Florida.

Bottom line is, Miles and Crowton need to work a ton of overtime these 2 weeks.

Nobody seems to want to admit that UF may have the best defense the LSU has faced this year and...UF's defense had 2 weeks of rest and preparation for the game.

Given those stats.. and the improved defense.. Lee seems like the clear-cut choice to me

Lee deserves to play at least two series in the next game. We have great receivers and I believe he can get them the ball.
1-Don't you think he learned form last years mistakes?

2-Don't you think him sitting the bench in 2009 has him hungry to show he can move this team?

LSU is in the bottom 20% of all D1 offenses year-to-date. It's time to at least experiment with a few other options for more than 1 or 2 plays (JL & RS). If it's really the O-line causing all the problems, then we're screwed and that will come to light.
