Led by the great Nick Saban, we went 7-4 and lost our bowl game.
Got our arse beat by Virginia Tech, Auburn, Alabama(31-0, and Texas.
We had a bad qb.

In 2005 Oklahoma went 8-4.
Last year UF went 9-4.

Sometimes $hit happens and you have bad years. Don't be an arse because we are currently having one. Give Les a chance to make the changes required and lets see what happens next year.

yeah but you could see some positive trends, mainly the arrival of a true Saban defense. Even though we were banged up on defense by end of season, you could see the defense developing and keeping us in games. Except for Auburn (MR turnovers) and bama (just got our arse beat), we played well enough to come within one play of SEC CG.

Didn't see any positive trends on this team despite being more talented, especially on offense.

I really don't think LSU would have played as shitty if they held on against Bama.

If he hires a real DC in the off season I will cut him some slack.

If he sticks with dumb and dumber it will be Dinardo part 2.

Let me take you forward to 2008, Nick Saban is in his 2ND year at Bama, is undefeated, and going to the SECCG and has a shot at the MNC.

Well I blame alot of it on the offense being screwed at qb and the defenses problems are because Miles made a mistake and promoted these two nimrods to DC's.
It is obvious the team has no confidence right now, so the mistakes are going to happen more frequently.
I am willing to give the guy with the funny looking white hat another season to make some changes.
He has put up some pretty good numbers since arriving, especially in bowl games, so I think he deserves one more year before the LSU redneck fan base rips him to pieces.

That is the difference between Saban, top coaches, and the rest of them. Good coaches don't focus on one game or treat a game different than any other and the team reflects that so they dont' have a huge letdown if they don't win. That is called lack of mental toughness.

I wouldn't say LSU lacks mental toughness. It's more a lack of scheme on defense. They play as good as they can, but when the coaches put them in bad spots on D there isn't a whole lot the players can do about that. I don't really put any of the blame on Crowton. He doesn't really have much to work with.

I remember the same problem in 04. New qbs. new WR's. So we got tough, lined up, and played smashmouth. WITH other teams daring us to beat them with the pass.

You mean to tell me Scott, Williams, and Murphy are not better than AB, JV, and Shyrone?

Les has next year to make his mark.

It's all part of being a good program.

End of season moves are his first real exam. Lets see what he does.

What changes do you think Les will make? I have no reason to believe that the 2 headed monster will be replaced. The team could have easily lost to Auburn, Troy State, South Carolina and really never had a good game all year. Realistically by ratings, we have a lot of talent that appears to underachieve at best.
