If you can honestly look at any game, from January 2012 to the end of the Auburn game of last year and say that Les Miles was a competent coach, then you are sadly mistaken.

Change 2012 to 2013 (the 2012 season was our last really good team), and change competent to excellent, and then you would be correct.

When Les Miles left LSU he was easily a competent coach. To suggest otherwise is hyperbole.

in miles defense very true. but it goes both ways. remember even gary crowton admitted miles' style was keep it close and pull it out in the 4th. that style backfired plenty on teams we coulda finished off but did not. now did we expect no close games at all over that time in the sec? of course not. but i am sure you get the point.

that is a fair assessment. I remember bama fans telling me don't worry about 2011 because we would win it all in 2012. we very well should have and could have. we know what mistake was made on the last drive with mett against bama. although it would have been tough beating UGA two in a row in atlanta we could have done it. Then we would have slaughtered the fighting irish like bama did.

Jan 9, 2012 - 21 to zip. Not 30 points but what an embarrassment.

You comparing a 21 point loss to the best team of the decade(that we had already beat a few games earlier) to a 30 point loss to MOOO ST?

oh, hell! instead of firing him we should've started paying him 15 million a year. how could we be so foolish?

he is the greatest coach of all times. no one is fit to even tie his shoe laces.

that's the greatest single thing I've ever heard said about a head coach. Wow! i'm really impressed.

Easy to not lose by 30 or more when you start chewing clock in 1st quarter.
