Les had to equate himself with the realness of the situation where he is located in the current time. The need to clarity mounts in his chest.

Les has the opportunity to save face, and leave with dignity, but he refuses to do so. Just like his coaching, his decision to desparately hang on to a job he knows he's going to lose is maddening. Everything this guy does as a coach makes you want to scream. Enough is enough, and it's time to pull the plug.

Many have tried to tell me over the years, it's contrived. It's a Columbo like ruse and he's playing everyone.
I've heard him speak in many different settings, and IMHO he is what we see, good and bad. I've never bought this.
Not sure what he's trying to do here and not sure he is either.
But I'll give him his due, he held this together better than ever I thought he could given what I saw and heard early on. I'm thankful for the great memories and wish he and his family nothing but the best.
