Les said he'd like to copy the Aggies last play? Serious suggestion

Saw a post or article where CLM said he'd like to use the multi-lateral play the Aggies used on the last play. This is typical rugby play (had the ball been passed around _effectively_)
The LSU Rugby Football club is currently ranked 15th in the US. I'm sure the LSURFC coaches (Bob Causey,Steven Hazel, Jeff Levasseur) would be happy to consult on technique and opportunity.

I would never want to use that play.
Speaking of, why was there not a flag? There was an obvious forward lateral on that play.
I remember when the Eagles used to do that on every INT return. It was succesful for a while then they lost a couple of close games when that stuff back fired on them and they gave the ball back. It ended quickly.

do you really think Les F-in Miles would swallow his pride and go ask advice on an offensive play from a freaking rugby coach?

Do you think Les F-in Miles was serious about using that last play?

Simonator liked it.
Yeah. In rugby, that's what we call a "hospital pass".

I don't think Swope liked it too much after he got decapitated.

I never want to see an LSU team have to resort to that. Only teams who are behind on the scoreboard in the last seconds do that.

You don't want any of our plays. They suck as evidence by the outcome of the game.
Actually, the best play we run imo is the zone read, play action pass that we ran once. This was the play that Evans (wr) tipped the ball up in the air on and was intercepted. There was an incredibly detailed article on this play on smartfootball that was very interesting. It's extremely difficult to defend. Okie Lite runs it a lot.
EDIT: sorry, not off smartfootball, but I did find the article if any of you X and O fans care.

Yeah, what was I thinking. LSU will never be behind in the last seconds.

You guys ran play action out the zone read multiple times. On the first or second drive, Simon got burned on a slant route off of it for a big game. After that, our players adjusted to it , quit going for the play action, and relied on our d-line and linebackers to stop the run.

Love it!.. Les thinking outside the box, forcing Saban to prepare for something we have no intention of using.. similar to the MNC game where he forced Saban to prepare for passes.

We ran 8 times in the 2nd half, which is unacceptable. Manziel got flustered by the pressure brought when the DEs dropped back, and the LBers scraped down. He rolled and rolled and rolled and obviously found no room to run. It was fun to watch him try, but man he failed.
The play I'm referring to was also the zone read with the slant to Evans which was wide arse open. I guess I don't recall it the first time that you are referring to, but I'll certainly concede that one. I don't recall seeing it again either. Personally I feel Manziel's biggest weakness is refusing to throw in the middle of the field, we did have guys open there. He's short, that might be part of it. I think for this game in particular the pressure was coming up the middle, which really inhibited his ability to do so. He had the same exact problem in the UF game. But I'll never understand only giving Malena 5 carries after the fumble.
I am really growing to already hate our OC.

Cal-Stanford 1982. A number of the Cal players played rugby in the offseason.

Who was it that killed Swope on that play?

thats just what we need is another play that doesn't work.

Isn't Wing an expert on rugby? Why not get that left-footed croc hunter to teach 'em how to do it?
