If you're going to semi-quote William F. Halsey at least make an effort to get it right.

I'd just like for Les to pull his head outta his arse and come up for air. It might make a difference.

On the Les Miles show, wow

This is a perfect example of people being critical of Miles under the assumption that Miles doesn't see the obvious...while simultaneously missing the obvious fact that Miles will never talk bad about his team.

In other words he is talking over your head.

I don't see you posting very often when LSU has a good stretch of games, but you've been on here a lot lately...probably work keeping you away from the Rant during those times I guess...

Instead of coach speak, maybe we should call it Les-speak.

I was wondering if anyone thinks more playing time for Washington and even Boutte might be a workable idea.

What I want my coach to say is stuff like:
The line can't block worth shite in a handbag.
The QB's couldn't hit a bull in the a$$ with a bull fiddle.
We call our WR's CLANG because that's the sound the ball makes when it hits their hands.
We don't let our RB's eat biscuits because they never get the butter off their fingers.

Maybe I am entertained easily but this is one of the funniest things I've read on this site.

The QB could not hit the gulf of mexico with a ball standing on the beach at Grand Isle.
We remember Deke Bellavia saying the same thing about Jordan Jefferson a few years ago, but it was something like: "Jefferson couldn't throw a football into Lake Pontchartrain if he was standing on the Causeway."

we ran the ball on 8 straight first downs. We averaged 7.4 yards/carry on those runs.

We were in position to have successful drives and Harris had some massive screwups. Fumbled snap on 2nd down. Turns the wrong way on 2nd down. He was throwing the ball 10 feet over people's heads on 5 yard passes.

We were still gashing Auburn on 1st downs into the 3rd quarter. The offensive line came to play against Auburn and manhandled their defensive line on first downs.

the blocking scheme (zone) that we are implementing has brought down our OL quality...stupid to change this yr. when we were to be so good.

NO QB will ever look good w a bad OL..specially a Freshman...

for those young ones .. look up film of Archie Manning w Saints.. never could do much, always running for his life or on his back....arguably one of the best QBs to come out of college.

With an extra TE and RB? We constantly run 2 TEs and 2 back sets. It's the coaches job to get the QBs ready to recognize this stuff man, there isn't any excuses.

This has nothing to do with the line blocking. There are only 5 offensive linemen. They are doing their job.

How about be honest instead of talking to people like they are children? Now there's an interesting concept.

You don't have to talk bad about your players. You can blame coaching. Stuff like our scheme may need fixing. We need to start recognizing blitzes better. We need to check out of the run better. Stuff like that. Some of you sunshine pumper retarded.

I honestly don't know if the OL is that bad bc the terribleness of the passing game skew

You could easily say the same thing reversed. Passing gets easier when the run is working and the line is protecting

The line was playing well Saturday. We ran the ball on first down for around 5-6 ypc but then Harris kept messing up 2nd down and his passes were air mailing. I wouldn't blame the line too much for the auburn game.
