I think he seriously just lacks a true desire to beat bama... When's the last time he showed up and showed that he's learned from last year's mistakes! He should've realized, "hey, they're going to key on fournette!" Used him as a decoy set him up for screens and play actions spread out the defensive box and then opened up the run game instead of running into a wall making us want to slam are heads into one. I love the man to death, but his lack of ability to learn from mistakes and ability to manage his team needs to either change or cost him his job and cut our losses. I'd rather risk getting a new coach which keep in mind is going to happen sooner or later, and risk going down in stature then stay at a state of perpetual runner ups to someone else in the sec.

Yeah! Well if he desires it so much, then why not learn your lesson? Why continue in a failed method to beat bama that hasn't worked the last 5 times? Riddle me that. Genius that thinks I'm oh so stupid

id say the clue that he lacks desire to win is that he managed to laugh while we were down 20. That is the sign of a person that isn't a real competitor.

Les Miles lacks a desire to beat Alabama.

Jesus...NOW the Rant has heard it all. Stop making Alabama threads, people! You've run out of material.

I didn't say you were stupid, I don't know you. I said your statement was one of the most stupid comments I've ever read and I stand by it.
What coach who pours all of his efforts into his craft, forsaking family and other passions in the process, doesn't have a desire to win every game?

Well, it is pretty dumb to equate desire and accomplishment as if the coach that wants it more always wins.

Two out of five we came close? That's like saying oh man well at least we tried... We have the kids down their to at least gave them a run for their money. Let's accept being ok at football and not get a fire in our guts to beat Alabama next year. Explain the national championship in 2011? We had the best LSU team we've ever had and went from going 9-6 to them to losing 21-0? Why does Les even put JJ in that season when Lee is lighting it up and doing his best to redeem his pick 6 record setting season. Look I love LSU so damn much it's insane, I want the best for our team. Les needs to get his shite together. He's had 5 chances in a row to put it together and beat bama. He's shown that he's mentally incapable of it and is beginning to have an instilled fear that he can't beat them. Time to get fresh blood in the program with someone who isn't getting payed... Someone who wants to prove them self and wants to make it a point to beat Bama. Les is happy as long as he wins X amount of games. He's not striving for National Championships like he did in '07 when he came out and you could tell he had Grit when he came out and told everyone to have a "Nice day" while he and his "damn strong football team" went on to win a national championship. Keep in mind he lost to Arkansas and Kentucky that year which should've blown it for us, but luckily didn't! He's got a hard schedule and does a good job, but if he can't beat bama they're so late on our schedule that we can't go to the playoffs anymore without beating them unless they're a two loss team. And that's something we can't account for. The LSU team I saw both last night and in the 2011 game lacked energy in a huge way. Same thing with the team you see in bowl games frequently and at Arkansas from time to time. He lacks the ability to get his teams ready for games that MATTER. Which is a HUGE aspect of being a coach. That being said GEAUX Tigers and Forever LSU

Cut our losses? What would u cut them down to? Take a look at his record. Also remember the Katrina year. Who would u hire?

You can't win the hardware every single year...or even every few years. Please take a look at some of the other coaching changes in the SEC during his tenure here. How are those teams doing, other than the gumps?

Losing makes you understand how sweet winning is. This team is relatively young. There still several great goals that they can strive to accomplish.

Some of you people baffle the hell out of me. Miles' success here is the very thing that has tainted yalls vision and expectations. You hammer him for the very things that has proved successful in other games and years.

LSU is a young team. They are doing very well. They had a bad game. It happens. They are in the top ten. They will continue to play hard, hit hard, and leave it all on the feild.

Les isn't going anywhere. Accept it. Criticism of a head coach at a major university is expected and comes with the territory. But some of the vitriolic shite here is beyond that. And Les doesn't deserve it. Not after all that he's done here.

LSU has ONE loss. That loss is to probably to the best team in the country.

I'm in.
