- he will not be given a new contract regardless of what happens this season. A coach in his last year of contract and no renewal is a recruiting nightmare.
- at 62, he is not going to another school and start over. He will go watch his kids play sports and be with family.

Doubt it. If it's up to him, he coaches til the end of his contract. Would be dumb not to, then again look who we are talking about....

Pretty sure he has a few years on his contract after this one.

I thought he had 3 more years on the contract?

I think so too. The man looks tired and I think it will be a agreed upon retirement and he will get his contract paid by TAF.

Such negativity is not part of the discussion right now, plenty of time to rant about that later now is not the time, it's time to enjoy some LSU football.

Horrible thread title. You aren't supposed to present your opinion as fact, please edit to clarify that this is merely your prediction

Tread would be so much better with "I think" inserted.

Everyone clicking like it's news.

You may be right. At least for a year.

This is the rare situation when a HCIW would be warranted, whether that's Aranda or whoever. Risky, but better than an empty chair.

Has 3 years left which is still a recruiting nightmare in theory. If he was planning to retire...I wished he would come out with it now. I could feel better about the season and he would get one long fairwell tour. So many positives to doing so earlier than after season which means he isn't retiring

If Les retires, it is to save face from being fired and will come along with a buyout agreement that LSU and he come up with.

Guy is not leaving $13M on the table or even $6 million (if that buyout number is real).

Cam might retire but Les isn't, just so you know. He may not have a choice, all depends on LSU's season. That talk is for later.

Hate to break it to you but Miles current contract doesn't end until 12-31-19. He isn't walking away from 11 million dollars. You really have no clue to what your talking about in this case.

He's not leaving millions on the table. I could see him retiring from coaching and take some TAF position doing "fundraising" and I think that would be a very good situation for all parties involved.
