anyone know if Miles was a big star or barely played. a former Tiger football star told me he was the Rudy of Michigan and is a joke as a coach from peers and many fans alike. What do you say?

I say I'm lazy so I went to Wikipedia

Miles earned all-state honors in football at Elyria High School in Ohio as well as letters in baseball and wrestling.[1] He attended the University of Michigan where he was a two year letterman under Coach Bo Schembechler from 1974 to 75

If you followed the saga at all in '07, you'll remember that the guys he played with at Mich, and now close to the program lobbied hard to get him there. I call 100% BS that he's not well thought of, and am quite certain that kind of thing would have been fleshed out in the vetting process before he was hired.

But him being all state makes the "Rudy" theory idiotic.

What is your point? Are you saying you have to be a skilled athlete to be a good coach?

Of course not. You're just jumping on a message board and ragging on the coach.

That's fine. I think Miles got fat and lazy after winning in 2007 and so I am all for riding his arse a little bit. He's handsomely paid and hasn't really earned it over the past year and a half.

But to throw shite up here like this? This is the stuff of a loser typing internet posts from his double-wide, half drunk at 4 pm in the afternoon on a Wednesday.
