I also feel that Coach Krag and Stud have made a huge impact on this team. The offense is fun to watch again and the quality of the QB position is significantly better.

Props to Miles for getting Krag here and trusting Stud with the play calling.

Well said. My issues with Les were the stupid miscalls and miscues. Glad Crowton is gone... as a result of being loyal to his OC, Les took a lot of his heat. I think Les ia probably BRILLIANT and has been strategically playing us, and the media, all along. He is for sure a GREAT coach and quality human being.

As for Saban: I never saw anyone look so uncomfortable with a smile on his face.

Great post. It reminded me of the fact that Saban couldn't even enjoy the 2003 championship because, on the victory podium, he was already worrying about the next year.

This article recounts some of that, and it recounts similar stuff like a newly married assistant being asked to go to watch recruiting film with Saban on Christmas Day.

Football is supposed to be a game. It's supposed to be fun. I'm certainly grateful that Nick Saban brought LSU back to national prominence. But I'm even more grateful that Les Miles is winning the right way.

Les stuck it out and took his lumps, evolved into a better coach, and has now made football at LSU more fun than ever.

Very well said.....Les has made me extrememly proud of his team and the way that they play. There is a lot more to be said and written about this team, but the fact that they are playing with heart and dedication given to them by a coach that has his life together makes me very proud indeed.

It makes all of us that love LSU very lucky to have him as our coach and neighbor !!!!!

In an effort to divert the discussion from a probable rematch with Bama, I am replying to this thread.

Everything you highlight is spot on. For those of us who witnessed Jamie Howard's meltdown against Auburn, no lead was large enough. But the hangover from Saban and Jamie's 6 INTs has worn off form many, in large part to this season. I look forward to watching this team play for two more games, regardless of the opponent.

Great post!! I will admit I have not always been for Les but I have learned to embrace him and love him for being a class act and still loving LSU when fans were calling for his head. I'm glad he's here and hope he's here for quite a while.

Great post Tigerfan4120. I posted something similar before the Bama game about the contrast in coaching styles and why I thought that favored LSU over Bama earlier this year. Glad to know that prediction came true!

Coaching Contrasts favors LSU - (Miles vs. Saban)

This year fun. Last year, great record but very stressful, nailbiters every week.

I totally agree. Miles had brought fun, excitement, and TEAMwork back to LSU. Im watching the replay of the game and just watched Chase Clement push Spencer Ware into the endzone for a score. I say we give Clement 3 of those 6 pts.

Well said.

I've said since the Florida game...this has been the most fun season I can remember.

12 down; 2 to go!

.Chavis is the unsung hero to this team being back at the top. I am still surprised that he has done so well, and am amazed that Les knew he was the man that could bring the defense back after the horrible couple of seasons Tennessee had. Hail to the Madhatter!

The Chief's D won the 98 MNC almost in spite of the Offense. The years that followed were more a Fulmer problem than a Chief problem. I will always believe that our victory over UT in the SECC game in 2001, when they were the favorites to win the MNC AGAIN, derailed their recruiting edge.

To the OP's point, Les makes me smile in sooooo many ways, and has added to my Good Times. Long live the HAT.
