No, the hypocrites named the practice facility after Chollie Mac. And by hypocrites I mean they fire a guy after 25 years of coaching then name something after him??? I don't disapprove of the naming, just find it arse backwards.

Backwards? Isn't the alternative to name it after him before he's hired?

Also, that would require it having been built before he was fired, no?

Even if he was absolutely crucial in the stadium being built in the first place?

I am talking about naming something after someone they fired.

Take UTK, you think they're going to name something after Fulmer, Dooley???

Charlie Mac was a great coach, couldn't ever beat BAMA, they fire him and then name something after him. I think it's hypocritical to name something after a person they fired. I don't object to the name, just think it's stupid. Backwards. Not the definition of backwards that you're using.

Yes they will name something after Phil Fulmer. The reason is obvious.

Huey Long loved LSU and was instrumental in getting the stadium built by making it a dormitory. He also commandeered the trains to take LSU fans to games.

He was a legend!!!

However, I don't want any part of the stadium named after someone, even the gates on the west side (the "X" family gate, the "Y" family gate, etc.)

I have nothing but respect for Miles. You can't just win games by recruiting good player (*cough* Chizik *cough*) and to do it in the SEC West makes it that much more impressive. Plus, he's the most lovable/entertaining coach in the league and, Hell, the nation.

After all is said and done Miles' name will be held in high regard to all SEC and college football fans.

Les Miles definitely deserves to (at least) have the field named after him.

I am drunk. Roll Tide (sorry).

We've never had the field named after anyone. It should stay that way.

My ignorance pulls through yet again.

Btw, the atmosphere at this year's game will live with me for the rest of my life. I wish Bryant-Denny could get that crazy.

Put the crack pipe down and walk away.

will have at least one more National Championship to his name.

Do some homework. The one NC he has is the ONLY ONE in the history of the BCS that has a 2 loss team winning it.

When you coach your way out of wins (see bama 12)
and (NC vs bama 12) it will be never for another NC.

I wont even get into the other list of mistakes he has made over the years. Some cost us games some not.

Like it or not we win NOT because of coaching.

All coaches make mistakes. You have serious issues if you can't understand that Miles is a top 5 coach and in all likelihood will win another national title before he retires.

Go talk to some Bama fans about Saban's "coaching" during the A&M game. Every coach regardless of his level of success makes mistakes.
