If averaging just over 3 yards a carry is running it all over a defense than yea that's awesome.

We averaged 4.8 against Ole Miss which had one of the best run defenses in the nation. Yes, we averaged 3.3 per carry against Bama,
but hey, that will get first downs.

Our running backs averaged 5.2 against them for the record.

Could just an average passing game have helped?

Trey Quinn catching those passes could have.

Even better! But the box-score says 4.8.

ETA: You are correct, the "running backs" averaged 5.2.

How many points the the other teams score with their spread formation that you crave score??? And yes I average passing game would have helped I never said that. I said it's laughable to say our running scheme isn't good. How many points did we average last year with Miles offense and scheme???

It matters because you take out the qb sacks and runs (which can come off passes which may not be indicative of pounding a team) and the short yardage stuff to the fullbacks which are designed to get small amounts of yards.

I don't crave a spread offense. I crave an actual pro style offense that has multiple formations besides I formation 2 tight ends and your 3rd down and long shotgun. Mix up formations and get the defense to actually guess if we are goin to pass or run.

I crave receivers not dropping so many passes during the biggest game of the year... can't blame that on jennings.

Not blaming Jennings at all. It probably woulda helped when we played Sam houston st and New Mexico st or whoever the hell we played if we would open up the intermediate passes more instead if throwin just go routes. Could have helped our QBs and receivers out or may not have but at least we would have tried t get them in a rhythym . Les miles does his QBs no favors.

I agree, but AJ doesn't have that either.

This was the crappiest Bama team in 5-6 years. If we couldn't pull a W off against them in Death Valley, then when do you think it's going to get easier. Doesn't look like the offense is going to change. There are plenty of offenses around college football that can start a freshman or sophomore QB and are a danger to pass for more than 150 yards in a game....LSU is not one of them.

I guess it depends on what your definition of "plenty" is. I call it the exception, not the rule.

The scheme is bad?? Hahahahahahaha. We just ran the ball over the best run defense and another one in the top 3. With them knowing we have zero passing game. Again the ineptness of this board is so amusing.

And when your QB can't win you the games in the fashion you want? What then? Keep doing the same thing?

i honestly like our offense, power run with some bad arse backs and skilled wr's

but you still need a qb that has a pulse to make some freaking plays

we don't, plain and simple...And until we do we'll have terrible offensive games where everyone is hoping for 17 pts

17 points in regulation would have won Saturday.

but we couldn't even get to 17...

it's pathetic...A powerhouse school like LSU should not have this poor qb play....we had one good year with mett other than that miles has failed at devolping qb's
