Wasn't the pass to run ratio 30/70 or something?

It was but the first half was pretty balanced. Especially on 1st down.

Can you not see that LSU was going no where against the gumps? Why is that so hard to grasp? They beat the crap out of us that night. The whole team was flat from the start of the game. Yes the defense played pretty well all things considered, but everything was just flat.

This is beside the main point. It in no way absolve CLM from the strange game plan of that night. Why not try JL and, of course, ZM?

Let it go already. It's not healthy for you man.

Also, just start a 1/9 thread next time so we all know you're a tard from the get-go.

I agree with this statement. The question is, "Will CLM use the passing game to make the LSU offense nearly impossible to defend?"

Why do people completely ignore 2005-2007?

You know, years where we had capable qb's.

I can't answer the "why not try JL". I don't think Miles needed to put him in to appease all of the fans that wanted to see him play. However I can say with a lot of confidence that it would not have done any good. We were not going to win that game that night. It simply didn't matter. They were the better team that night whether JJ or JL played in the second half.

of course, ZM

Well this is just ridiculous. So you think we should have brought in a kid that had thrown 11 passes all season?

You can't just say oh we're going to start our third string quarterback in the National Championship game against one of the best defenses ever. You clearly know nothing about football if you think ZM should have played in that game. He didn't take first team reps in practice all season long.

I am not saying he couldn't have possibly won the job at the beginning of the season, however he didn't, and so to think he could have played the amount that he did last season and then come in in the national championship game is beyond dumb.

I think it was, but when the game was still in doubt during the first half, I was impressed by the run/pass distribution, the willingness to pass on first down, the varying depths of the routes run, the pass protection, Mett's command, and our execution (save the drops, of course).

Like I said, this will all be answered when we face a team with a dominant defensive line. If Miles puts his head in the sand and predictably runs right at them, repeating the error of late last season, I'll be the first to criticize. But he hasn't actually done that yet. We won 41-3 and looked great.

How does a thread about whether CLM will ever use a QB effectively get this far without mentioning 2005 - 2007, or his time at Okie State? Seems to me he used Matt Flynn pretty well in 2007.

I think our new wr coach is doing a FANTASTIC job. Route running, blocking are light years better. Hard for me to blame the drops on the coach. Or should I?

This thread sucks more cock than the last thread you started on the exact same fricking topic. Which is quite the accomplishment because that thread sucked all kinds of cock.

Please see my previous thread about LM doing more to develop ZM at QB last year. That is the point. Why did CLM shelve ZM? Anybody? Anybody?

Because we went 13-0 against one of the toughest schedules in the history of college football, won the SEC West and the SEC Championship game and won all but about 2 of the games in fricking dominating fashion you fricking tard.

Why don't you ask ZM? He is on record as saying he didn't work like he should have when he first got here.

I agree with this. My point is not to stir the tranquil confines of TD, but to stimulate, if possible, some thought about the coach. I have no ill feelings for him. In fact, from what I understand he is one of the most gracious and humble persons one could ever meet. He has been great for this program, no question.

That said, he needs to lead this team to a NCG victory.
