My thinking is this we will continue to go thru coaches at defense and offense until we get rid of miles. Our coaches move lateral moves to other schools while coaches for Saban goes to be head coaches at other premier colleges. I do hope Aranda does make a difference on our staff. Just not getting my hopes up just now until I see them play in 8 months.

Our best hope for the future. LSU goes 8-4 fires Les ,and we get Dabo. Pay him a ton and keep Bama from getting him.

I thought the benchmark was to get someone who can beat Saban.

I think smart and muschamp are the only two to be head coaches. Les has pelini and jimbo.

Frick! Do you think we will fire les if we go 9-3, or 10-2 getting hammer as we run the same predictable offense??? I want les gone whatever it takes 8-4 would probably get him fired!!! We need an elite coach Dabo, Jimbo, or upcoming Tom Herman, we'll need to out bid Bama basically pay 7-8 million a year to get the next great coach in college. That's what it will take to get a coach who competes for National Championships.

I know the Bama boosters already have their eyes on Dabo, but money talks. If we ever want to beat them consistently we'll have to pay the best coach 1-2 million more than Bama.

What makes these coaches elite; especially, "...the coach from Houston"?

These are by no means bad coaches, but I think you are stretching it with 'elite'. They are not elite, they are just different, and more importantly for you they are not Les Miles.

Dabo: Overall--75–27 Bowls--5–4 was on the Clemson coaching staff since 2003, so he was part of the staff that built that team.

Jimbo: Overall--68–14 Bowls--4–2 and Jimbo was there 3 years as HCIW, so he had 3 years to recruit 'his' team.

As for Houston, I default to the fact that you can't name him, which automatically removes him from the 'elite' list. Assume you are referring to Tom Herman
