Because we appreciate Cam we under appreciate Mett?

Yeah that makes sense

A college QB can't do it alone.

How much of this was Cam and how much was a normal progression for Zach who finally got a second year of play in the SEC throwing to two future pros?

a lot. taking nothing from Cam's influence, that's been huge too. but Cam even said that part of it was Zach being more experienced from the yr before.

That isn't what I would call a "normal progression" from a fourth year junior to a fifth year senior

Zach's college career was anything but normal when it came to having consistent QB coaching.

I like Cam and I'm hopeful he is our answer to the QB problems, but let's see how that position pans out this year before we jump to too many conclusions. New QBs or not, if Cam is all we think he is, the new guys should thrive and be above average young guys.

I guess you haven't heard of the rule that limits how much time coaches can spend with the players. On ESPN last night the QB guru Whitfield brought this up, the coaches have very limited time to spend with players during the offseason as well as during the season.

So Mett wasn't with Cam near as much as you think.

I can't wait for people to start calling for Cam's head when our freshman and/or sophomore QB has a hiccup or two or three.

OK? Maybe my wording was off a bit, but I'm well aware that there are limitations on how much time they can spend together in the offseason. They still spent a shite load of time in the film room, and I'm sure Mett used Cam's knowledge and insights to help him know what to look for and how to properly break down film when they weren't together.

Mett worked his arse off, and Cam was a wonderful influence. I think we can leave it at that.

Thanks Les for such a great hire. Can't wait to see what Cam does with all that talent in the backfield ( Fournette, Malachi, Quinn, Dural, Magee, B.Harris, ect). Going to be too easy for Cam with all this talent!

To be fair, we said this last year and he had just as much talent, if not more considering they all had experience, especially the qb. And for the most part, our offense delivered.

It's Chief and the D that needs to step up. We couldn't stop anybody. The middle of the D was there for the taking.

He's a little younger than Les and I could see Cam taking over when he decides to retire.

This would be the best coaching hire for LSU football. Saban was a damn good hire, but he is a much better coach now that we he came from Mich.

Look at the progress Mett made from 2012 to 2013. Not even comparable.

If its not even comparable, why did you just compare?

If you can't see how much better our offense is with Cam Cameron with just 1 year of transition, you are a fricking moron. He is one of the most respected QB coaches in the game and has completely rebuilt our offense into a well oiled, unpredictable machine.

2 1,000 yard WRs, 1,000 RB, and 3,000 yard QB.

The irony here is that if the ranters dont give Cameron credit for the improvements and the accomplishments then they have to give it to CLM...

I'm as excited as you are about the offense under Cam. He was a homerun hire no doubt.

...my worry is with our defense. Last year I thought that because of all the talent we lost to the NFL we had gotten away from our reputation of slobberknocking lockdown intimidating defense of the past decade. I hope Chavis can resurrect it this year.
