To start, let me be (probably not the first to admit) admit that I was the biggest hatter hater around. In the first quarter I was thinking "somebody's bound to have a high powered rifle and be in range of this guy". Then came the half time interview... Easily the high-water mark of may hate. First off the guy can't complete a sentence, secondly he thinks down at the half in the now most important game of the season is "right where we want em".

Then came the second half and the guilt associated with hating A coach for one half and then seeing him come out bat shite freaking grass eating crazy and win it all... again.

I think I've come to terms with les, he's just freaking crazy and that's ok because he wins. He's like russell crowe in a beautiful mind. One minute he's leaving the baby in the bath tub (clock management) the next minute he's solving complex problems on a foggy window. Sure he may eat grass and scream at his invisible friends (halftime interviews) but hey, as long as he produces the theory of governing dynamics at the last minute in the 4th quarter for all the marbles. It's ok with me.

How about that option play with Jefferson when we were trying to run out the clock, I was pulling my hair out over that

We'll see what happens when crowton's gone. If get a diabolic genius in here to replace crowton the ultimate snake oil salesman it could get interesting.

To be as successful as LSU has been with a 100+ ranked offense the last few years HAS to be a testament to some very good head coaching.

Les Miles is a master at field position ...thus his "want" to bring in great kickers (scholly if necessary) and realizes that special teams is as important as ANY other part of the game. It just doesnt get noticed as much as offense and defense.

If LSU brings a competant OC in next year...well...LSU could be very scary. Les missed the mark with Crowton.

Yep, that's the thing. You can't understand him. You kinda just have to sit back and appreciate the end result.

i'm taking credit, damn it, for posting these exact same words at halftime on the score board and i did not hear this interview. the reason i said it was.....

#1) with the lead, we don't seem to feel the need to make halftime adjustments so a small deficit is the place to be
#2) after our goal line stand, i realized that bama's OL was not better than our DL which they clearly were last year. therefore, we could unload on 'em in the 2nd half (which we did)
#3) like above, we were good enough to play them man to man. yes julio was catching his passes but damn PP is good. you just can't break up what mcelroy was throwing him with the perfect routes he was running; but PP was containing him while our other db's were shutting down their other wr's.
#4) their running game was being stuffed

so i was much more optimistic at the half thinking that saban was just going to chew arse and we were going to make adjustments and at home.

i deserve a friggin' cookie.

What about the play where RIDLEY was going to throw the ball but the receiver downfield wasn't open....well there was a receiver on the other side of the field wide open, but RIDLEY didn't see him...but he's not a qb, so...that's still a play that can be used later on....LIKE THE CHANGES IN PLAY CALLING...

Just enjoy the ride. You have to know and understand where Les comes from. He's a genius when it comes to game strategy and instilling confidence in his players ability to make the plays to win games. I'll take emotional Les over tactician Saban every time. It's a whole lot more fun, besides, Les never attacks the media, fans or his own players. He supports them 100%!

You shouldn't feel guilty for disliking the fact that you have one of the worst offenses in the NCAA and LSU history chock full of poorly prepared 4 and 5 star athletes all over the field, game mismanagement debacles right and left, and playing poorly against really bad teams.

Those feelings are correct and you should embrace them. You can also love the fact that we played a good game and won. It is possible to have mixed emotions about the team or be mad one minute and happy the next. It's all part of the fan experience. If you think Les Miles is a great coach because he occasionally coaches a great game, you have very low expectations for a coach. If you want to be happy just because we won, you are entitled to that feeling as well.
