Listen to it on the way to work this morning and Smacker Miles just lambasted O; and she was right. Les Miles looks better and better every week.

Exactly...

I like the man, but to not think he lied about the changing the offense going into the 2016 season is pure fantasy. He lied to his boss, and all the fans, lost 2 games, and paid the price.

They can downvote that all they like, but that's how it is.

First off, no.

Secondly, I'm glad for it because this train wreck is just what we need to finally get rid of the REAL problem, Alleva.

Ok, I try to let this stuff pass because people that think like this will never see it any other way.

But I'm going to put all this out there because it needs to be said.

Miles didn't "lie". As it played out, Miles believed he was being fired until Alleva stepped up to the podium after A&M and announced he was staying following the absurd decision making process that apparently played out behind the scenes during the 2nd half. So Miles never made any promises to his boss, because he wasn't even spoken to about it before the decision was made.

And whatever talk there was about changing the offense in the offseason never meant that he was going to totally revamp his offense into some air raid spread. Anyone that believed he would was completely clueless because we don't have the personnel to run it, and he would not have kept Cameron if that is what he was trying to do. In fact, his quote after being retained was "I think the engine works just fine, just need to fine tune it".

For everyone that jumped up and down for the offense in October last year, THAT was the offense Miles and Cameron spent the offseason installing.

It just so happened to look a lot better against three terrible teams than it did against much better competition in September.

Give Ensminger a lot of credit for stepping in, but he didn't just make up that playbook in a week. The offense was ready, things just didn't go smoothly on the road against a top 5 team and a solid Auburn team with literally his job on the line.

But if Les isn't shamelessly fired by a shameless buffoon after the Auburn game, after losing two games in September for the first time in his tenure, LSU still goes on a huge roll in October with the same offensive plan they had all along.

And as for Alabama, I still to this day believe that the game would have gone much better for LSU if Miles was on the sidelines. O didn't understand the Bama series or that team the way Miles does, and he simply didn't have the team ready to play that game. Period.

Look at Miles' history against Saban in Tiger Stadium. 08, 10, 12, 14, Miles out coached Saban and outgained Bama as huge underdogs every time. NO WAY does LSU get shut out and only put up 125 YARDS if Miles was our coach.

No one wanted to see it at the time, but it is clear now that O simply isn't up to the task of games like that. Miles was. With the effort that the defense gave, I believe the offense is able to do more with Les, so to speak.

And if LSU is able to win that game, the Florida disaster likely goes much differently as well.

I said before last season if Miles didn't win the West with LF that it was time to move on. But LSU still controlled its own destiny even after the Auburn loss, and so we never got to see what Miles could get out of that great group of players from 2014 in the deciding game of the season.

Firing Miles in September after winning 10 games in five of the previous six seasons was an outrageous overreaction. It is a mistake of monumental proportions by Joe Alleva that will likely set this program back for years.

Downvote away, but no one can realistically disagree at this point that Miles isn't head and shoulders above O as a coach. And as close as that team came to beating Bama without any real leadership from the head coach, it should keep any LSU fan up at night wondering what would have happened if the team actually had the leader they committed to playing for in Baton Rouge.

Just got finished listing to it actually. Ole Smacker Miles had a lot to say about Coach O. She was very polite but you could tell what she wanted to say. Loved the show.

bullshite.

Miles lost to Bama five years in a row, it doesn't matter if he would've gained more than 125 yards or scored 50 points. If he didn't win, we won't win the West and we won't go to the championship games. That's why he got fired, along with his bumbleheaded management of football games and his inability to use the talent that he had at his disposal properly.

Is Miles is a better coach than O in your opinion?

I see this posted, yet never once seen in print or heard on audio Les saying he was changing the offense.

Why is this guy allowed to promote Les Miles's podcast but any mention of Pod of Geauxld gets anchored or deleted?

The mods on this board should be ashamed of themselves for the out right persecution of an LSU podcast for no identifiable reason at all.

Two things, how do you give the podcast a rating and how do you submit questions for Les?

Well said. It was time for him to go, but I do not think you move on from him without and elite coach ready to come in.
