Say what now?

Is this because you're assuming he'll be everything he's been billed as and then some, or are you giving LSU fans far more credit then they have ever earned by assuming that if a guy does not live up to the hype they've placed on him they won't bring out the pitchforks and torches? It's happened literally every time an incoming player has failed to live up to their hype, even if they played well but NOT quite as good as expected.

I can't wait to see the kid play, but holy frick if he does ANYTHING other than play better than Jeremy Hill's year in 2013 (you know, one of the best year's for a RB in LSU history) he'll be labeled a bust by the same assholes that can't get off his nuts today.

BTW, this isn't exactly going out on a limb. This ought to be obvious to even the most casual observer of LSU fans.

you're right, people wanting to bring up the "FREAK" situation are excluding the fact that Anthony Johnson wasn't a humble kid, LF is as humble as they come

Leonard Fournette odds to win Heisman

It's too much to expect him to win this year. His chances should increase significantly in years 2 & 3.

That said, the sheer cuteness advantage should not be underestimated.

This is the Rant. Someone will invent a way to turn on him just to try to be edgy and cool.

He rushed for a hunnid on us but they scored a whopping 3 in the 2nd half. Scheme had to do with his running stats.

If you are such a fan, drop some money on those odds.

I just dont see it from a 55% completion QB at msu.

Wasted money. Les doesn't use featured backs. It's all committee all the time. LSU will never have another Heisman winner. Just isn't going to happen.

Les' philosophy is pretty much diametrically opposed to what the Heisman criteria is: Statistics.

well that's just not true at all..

Alfred Blue 71 343 4.8 17 (TD) 1
Kenny Hilliard 68 310 4.6

Michael Ford 71 392 5.5 22 3
Spencer Ware 94 367 3.9 30 1
Alfred Blue 40 270 6.8 37 2
Russell Shepard 20 161 8.1 78 (TD) 1
J.C. Copeland 21 67 3.2 16 4

Hill only played in like 2/5's of the 2012 season

2011

Michael Ford 127 756 6.0 49 7
Spencer Ware 177 707 4.0 35 (TD) 8
Alfred Blue 78 539 6.9 57 7
Kenny Hilliard 62 336 5.4 25 8

2011 was kind of RBBC, but that was 3 years ago. and it was really only a 2 back system.

quote:

2010
Stevan Ridley 249 1147 4.6 65 (TD) 15
Michael Ford 45 268 6.0 36 (TD) 3
Russell Shepard 32 226 7.1 50 (TD) 2
Jordan Jefferson 123 450 3.7 83 (TD) 7

2010 was certainly not RBBC

quote:

2009:
Charles Scott 116 542 4.7 34 4
Keiland Williams 70 368 5.3 25 4
Russell Shepard 45 277 6.2 69 (TD) 2

Charles Scott was the bell cow until he got hurt

quote:

2008
Charles Scott 217 1174 5.4 56 18
Keiland Williams 83 417 5.0 25 2
Richard Murphy 44 186 4.2 12 0
Jordan Jefferson 49 134 2.7 20 1

2008 wasn't RBBC either, look at the difference in carries

fact is, when Miles has a RB that is better than the other ones, that RB gets way more carries.

142 and 203 carries isn't going to win the Heisman. They need at least 25-30 carries a game.

So annoying when someone says something valid on the rant and someone posts a cute lil emoticon to invalidate it.

If we had an experienced, All-SEC (2nd team SEC Media Days) starter like Dak heading into the season, we would be very highly regarded.

He's really the perfect fit. He can throw and run, and is built like a mlb.

He had a decent game. However many of his yard were accumulated against 2nd and 3rd team guys.
