Shut the effff up. I'm so tired of hearing about Cecil Collins. Every other post is about him now. Ridiculous. The love for someone who played so little is just weird

Exactly. I really think when all is said and done he will have been greatest back to come through LSU and that says a ton

Oh for Pete's sake. Stop with this crap. He is better.
And who cares anyway? That was then. Live in the present.

Apples and oranges.

Cecil was like a cannon ball on meth... in a pinball machine. Aggressive maniac.

Fournette looks like a hardened mauler playing against middle schoolers.

Yeah. Really.

Anyway, no way Diesel was this good. No way.

LF7 makes it look effortless.

Why do people keep comparing these guys? They are (were) great players for LSU. Let it rest. Useless discussion

Well, both were alike in the sense that they seemed like they were from a different planet compared to everyone else on the field.

Cecil definitely had some significant alien DNA. Time has proven that.

No

Fournette is on a completely different level

It's insulting to compare Collins to him

Collins had a terrific 3 game stretch, but wasn't AS punishing a runner as Fournette. Add in all of the intangibles (team leadership, decision making, representing the school with honor and integrity) and this debate really isn't much of one.

For those of you too young to have witnessed Cecil Collins way too brief career at LSU:

Incredible one shoe run at 4:19...

Collins was not a great LSU player.

4 total games and 3 total touchdowns is not great.

He may have had the potential to be a great back but he wasn't

comparing LF to CC is like comparing Eric Dickerson to Laurence Phillips.
