I wasn't buying into the completely overblown hype that LF was getting, but I did expect little more than what was shown against Wisconsin. As an athlete myself, I know that jumping from one level to the next is extremely difficult, but he was looking freakish in camp. I wasn't expecting a 200 yard game without being tackled once like the hype train projected, but I was a little disappointed with 8 for 18 or whatever he got. Hopefully these games against SHS and ULM will get him up to speed for Miss. St.

Well at least this thread is going to cover some new ground.

Most brilliant statement I have read all day. And original too.

Well you started off with instant credibility because you're an athlete yourself.

adrian peterson couldn't have run through the amount of defenders in front of fournette saturday night in the 1st half.

Fournette is better than Peterson, remember?

there was nowhere to run. our blocking was pathetic in the first half and toward the games end. we just ran it at an 8 man front; no one got any yardage on those plays. hilliard got his runs against a non stacked formation.

we shouldn't run against those stacked defenses; it's insane.

O-Line sucked for about 3 qtrs and he didn't play much if not at all in the 4th (not sure) to take advantage of the holes that Hilliard was getting. None of the backs did good until the 4th

my point is there wasn't much room for LF to run in the first half saturday night. the line wasn't exactly opening anything up for him.

one thing I did notice though was he could have cut it to the left near the goal line on one series and just about walked in. he'll learn from his first game.

jeremy hill didn't see the field until his third game fwiw

Again, Fournette had some pretty good runs. He also returned pretty well for his first game.

The missed toss hurt him, and there was a time he could have bounced outside for a TD easily, but he didn't. Other than that, I think he played pretty well for the limited carries he got.

The only level that is difficult for you to jump to is the 600 level in Tiger Stadium while still holding your big gulp.
