I guess I'm lucky I was at a wedding reception and had the sound turned off. My still pissed at me for dropping the F bomb when it looked like an lsu batter got hit with a pitch and was called out. I had to bite my tongue when Katz ( appeared to be katz on my iphone) got called out sliding into third.

Last night was awful. He constantly talked shite about us. Even my gf noticed it.

this. yes, he was irritating when he repeated "pounding the zone and the angle the pitcher produced from pitching from the side of rubber" about a thousand times. but, overall, he was very complimentary about LSU's baseball program and facilities. he even mentioned the indimidator like he was genuinlly impressed. the negative stuff he mentioned was spot on. LSU had some players that played like shite and deserved to be called out more than they did. 5 errors; i say 6 because of the miscommunication over the fly ball late in the game was enough to drive me crazy. we did our best to give them the game and they may have taken it if their SS and pitchers didn't fall apart late in the game. oh, and it appears bregman and jones can't complete double plays anymore; it's like their a-hole is so tight they can't catch a grounder, get the orb out of the glove and toss it without experiencing a breakdown.

I always look forward to the "sure we won, but (Hawthorne/Rollins, the ESPN/Fox announcers) were just awful" thread. I admire the lengths some people will go to find something to whine about.
Fwiw...I wasn't offended by the guy, and thought he complimented LSU several times...especially when he said something along the lines of "why would you want the grind of minor league ball when you could experience this (the atmosphere of LSU)."

There is a reason why he announces ESPN3 games, but he did give props to the program. Every inning he said in some form that LSU was the #1 team in the country. I was like, "Thanks, someone from ESPN finally gets it. It's what I've been saying all season." Of course he just really didn't have a clue.
My favorite line from him was when he was talking about the LSU crowd giving the ump a hard time. He said the ump has called a perfect game. "In fact, I have been wrong on a couple of occasions, but he has made every correct call so far."
You think? Maybe it's because he is the one calling the shots?

My personal favorite was in the bottom of the 8th when Cotton came on in relief and the PBP guy said,"Cotton is just three outs from his 16th save this year."
