Only number that matters is the #1 that we will have by our school come January.

Ali was a good player, these last three #7 were out of this world. Heisman contenders.

7 wasn't really passed down was it? I know that Peterson specifically gave it to Tyrann after he left but Tyrann got the boot 2 years before Fournette arrived.

#7 is unofficially the number for greatness at LSU. It isn't passed down just fir the sake of being passed down. Only one of a kind great players can wear it, even if that means going a year or few years without it.

Not to bad. I wish they would go with a pro combat all purple jersey. Or a gray uniform with some purple n gold blended in. Keep helmets the traditional yellow or maybe the throwback gold helmet if they went gray

Is there a recent pic of all the LSU #7s past and present. I would love that.

Embarrassed to say I completely forgot about 7 and PM.

Fournette said he wanted the 7 to rep the 7th ward in Nola, but I think it was more than that. He knew but wouldn't say that he had the swag to wear the PP7 and Mathieu jersey...just like Moses will do after him.
