Could say the same thing about Chad Pennington right?

Chad Pennington had intangibles that Jarrett Lee does not. If you think otherwise, you are just being a homer. Pennington wasn't afraid to be hit.

Well don't forget that owner here in Dallas. He did draft Quincy Carter. So to say JJ would have a shot is some what of a possibility

ha. reading this board the past week you'd think Jarrett Lee was the next coming of Bart Starr.

The less you play the better you get.

I was responding to the specific claim about arm strength.

You would probably score about a 9 on the wonderlic if I had to guess

Lee's arm isn't strong enough for the NFL, mediocre footwork and often failed to step into his throws at the SEC level... Lee seems a tremendous young man but he had a 'deer in headlights' look even when he was succeeding.

I wish him every success in business, law school, or medical school but two years from now he is definitely bilged out of the NFL.

powerman - you're the expert with all the posts. just an opinion... jarrett lee looked scared dropping back on a regular basis, bailed after throws and unable to step into passes. He often looked like he was trying to get the hell out of the way after hand-offs. Both lee and jefferson have been coached up for more than 10 years. I don't argue he never made a good throw. my opinion is jefferson has the stronger arm. there are things each did better than the other.

Look to any whole game by lee... not some highlight reel. Review your DVR recordings.

neither will. If you watch lee against that Alabama defense and then say "he can play in the NFL" you have lost your mind

Luckily those can all be worked on. He has the talent just needs some refinement.

Lee may have to hold the clip board for a while, but I predict he'll be a good back-up in the NFL...

He will likely be a camp arm at some pro days events (this is how the kid for the Texans got noticed ad became a 5th round pick), but Lee won't hold anything in the NFL. Will never hit the draft board. CFL...I will give that 20% chance.

im a huge JL fan but i honestly think theres more of a chance the JJ will make it to the NFL than him JL was an average QB and had scattered starts and doesnt have that strong of an arm... JJ is 6'5 250 hes fast and has a strong arm if JL had his body hed be and allstar but JJ is an athelte and hell be a good fit on a practice squad, in practice teams could proboly use him to prepare for Cam Newton thats just what i think

This thread reeks of 7 yr old "I know you are but what am I" banter. At best they are nothing but practice squad material.

Lee couldn't handle Bama's pressure.....could you imagine him against a Raven's or 49er's blitz?? I wouldn't want to see that....
