Watched replay last night and Lee was going in.He was told this at halftime by Crowton Had put his helment on and sprinted to team huddle to take field and Miles told him go sit down and told jefferson to go in. I will not blame Crowton ever again.. It's all on Miles head and He should be held accountable on how the season plays out with jefferson. Don't blame crowton at end of season to save your neck miles

Wrong - Miles told him to warm up at the 12:29 mark of the 3rd Qtr.

Maybe but speculation.

Probably the same way the OP knew Crowton told Lee he would start the 2nd half.

I was sitting behind the LSU bench 10 rows up. After Jefferson threw the 2nd pick, McCartney and Bailey (who wear headsets and talk to Crowton) both went up to Lee and told him he was going in.

Lee begins to stretch, puts his helmet on, and starts trowing the ball on the sideline. When we get the ball back Lee runs to the sideline huddle with this helmet on. Jefferson is standing by the huddle with his helmet off and Miles taps him on the shoulders pads and send him out there.

Surprisingly, Lee was not pissed at this point. He even cheered when JJ completed a pass to Randle for a first down.

The CST film shows it very clearly. Miles was walking towards the North endzone, walked right in front of JL, turned to him and said "Go Warm Up". JL immediately pulled the headphones off and took off to warm up. The clock was stopped at 12:29 waiting for WV to kick off to us.

I think JL assumed he was going in, I would have to. Before we took the field, JL ran up to the team huddle expecting to enter the game but JJ was there with his helmet on. JL looked dejected and walked off with his head down.

Watch for it Weds night.

I wouldn't blame if Jl had left LSU years ago the way he has been treated by the coaching staff. I just don't see the man love for jj!

That had to embarrass the hell out of JL. I really felt bad for him at that moment, because of how miles done him.

This, as well as hanging in there rather than transferring, has endeared this young man to me. He deserves more of a chance than he has been given. I would like to see JJ react the same way when things don't go his way.

This is where "game feel" comes into play. We had the lead and the ball was inside our 20. I can understand not putting Jarrett Lee in that situation.

That being said, I don't think we will have as much success running the ball with Jarrett Lee as with JJ because of the threat of the option. The ends can crash down with JL in the game. With JJ in the game, the defense has to be a little more honest. I don't think our offensive line is ready for that yet. Can JL be more effective in this scenario than Jordan Jefferson is now? That can only be determined during the game. Maybe this is the week to see this, because this is the first big time SEC defense that we'll see this year and should be a good measuring stick.

Best part of all of this is we will play Bizzaro- LSU on Saturday. Tennessee is a team that plays much like we do and we'll see how good our OL is without having to worry about an offense that is not explosive.

Ill stand by my comment that it is Miles to blame and will not blame Crowton.
I get a feeling that Miles will fire Crowton at end of season to save his own arsss..I do not feel he should be allowed to save his skin for another year if he refuses to try something different on offense. For God's sake we are almost dead last in offense with 5 star players all over the field. Wake Up People

It was clear on TV. They showed Lee buckling his chin strap, getting ready. There may have been a time out - anyway - it looked like he was going in - then it was JJ.

They showed some of that on the TV coverage. If I was Lee's dad, I would have been at LSU Sunday AM getting my kid the hell out of there. JL is this years Keiland Williams.

If this is true, and I was Crowton, I'd let it be known to Les, and if he doesn't agree, I'd resign and threaten to go public with that
