I think if we wanted to have a QB run the dam ball all the time, SHEP should have done that! If Les runs same Offense next year, I wish Shep luck wherever he goes because I'd roll too! ITS BULLSHI*

Him and JJ were never on the same page. Just goes to show two wrongs don't make a right.

one of the classiest student-athlete ambassadors I have ever seen for any college for one.

He has always talked highly of LSU.

of course he is screwing that all up in a couple of days.

He's being a bit of a pussy.

I'm sorry we didn't have great QB play, and I love the guy and really know he has given alot to LSU.

That being said, he needs to stop being a pus.

Highest rated recruit we had in a long time. He committed and then HELPED recruit others to BR.

A great rep for the University.

The fact that he is pissed and even thinking about leaving should be a wake up call to Miles and then Alleva.

He basically was jerked around the whole time he was here. First Crowton and then Miles wasn't bright enough to work him in to the system.

Pussy? I don't think so Eric.

Me having 14 catches for only 190 yards this year is not my fault people...I only #dropped 4 balls all year...So who fault is it now?

no, he's not taking responsibility for his actions... taking a page from JJ's book. He got suspended for doing something that they were told not to do, so he missed 4 games. Then he got passed up on the depth chart by better younger WRs.

He needs to man up and try to be a better receiver. Right now he doesn't have much of a future in the NFL. With a breakout year he could definitely get there. Whether that is with LSU or another school is up to him, but going to the NFL is stupid.

he was recruited as a QB who was great at running. Never got to throw a pass, and as a freshman ran 45 times, soph 32, and this season only got 7 carries. Meanwhile the coaches wanted him to be a WR and compete against highly recruited WR's. Each season his yards per carry went up, his yards per reception went up, and his TD's went up... but his opportunities went down.

I'll always be a shep fan. He was used completely wrong here. I don't blame him for moving on. I would too.

That can change next year with Mett.

I don't mean to rain on everybody's parade about next year.... but remember who will be the head coach and what his football Philosophy will be. Mat Moscona said yesterday on his show LSU RAN the ball 75% of the time in 2010 and 77% of the time in 2011.

I truly feel bad for the kid. When he committed to LSU the LSU offense was 55% running plays to 45% passing plays. During his three years at LSU the run to pass ratio was 71% run to 29% pass his freshman year, and it got progressively worse every year thereafter. The offense was surely not the one he expected when he committed to LSU.

I'm sure he felt that if he got enough touches he could make big plays, and he wasn't given that opportunity against Alabama. I can understand his frustration watching LSU's offense struggle in the BCSCG and feeling he could have made a difference. Not being given the opportunity on college football's biggest stage was the ultimate indignity.

No one blames him for moving on, its the way hes acting. All these players need to take a paige out of guys like lee and mo claibornes book. Stop acting like a child and you wont be treated like one. Sorry Russ, but some people will be behind ur decision and others think you cpuld benefit from ur sr year. I dont understand the crying.
