I think I would rather be in Orlando than Dallas on Jan 1.

My favorite was at the very bottom

Bowl Projections are only good for predicting what will definitely NOT happen

The CBS projections are fun because they are a "if the season ended today" sort of projection, with the exception of Cincy for some reason.
Take projections for what they are worth; I enjoy following them.

Bayside- You are right...it really is a joke to start giving ANY consideration of bowl match-ups. There is way too much football left to play. It's one thing if there are 2 games left in the season, but at this time, with so many games left, anything can happen. Sounds like somebody has too much time on their hands...

Don't remember who said it, but 10 not 9 SEC teams were projected bowl teams. Bama, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, S.Carolina, Vandy, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Although Tenn is a highly questionable bowl pick, but who the hell cares, it's projections!

texas would be a bad matchup for bama if that scenario were to actually play out. their strengths and weaknesses set up nicely for an opponent like bama. killer rush D/weak pass D, killer passing game/weak rushing game

Interesting that they have Alabama in the NC game.
No surprise. They tank #1 & #2 currently from the polls an put them in the championship game. Regardless of who they have left on their schedule.....

LSU vs Mich State in the Cap 1 would be the most boring game ever
I'd be at that game.

Yeah, doing this is goofy so early, but it's fun to look back on later. I saved the pre-season Sports Illustrated for that very reason....so I could go back and see just how wrong they were.

that shite will change 1000 times before Dec 1st.
Very funny and unusual projections at this time however!

i work with a ton of michigan state fans...i have watched almost every one of their games this year...we would destroy them....all they have is javon ringer. well, and a really good coach.

Va Tech vs Cincinnati in the Orange Bowl. Um ew.
It has Florida State and Cincinnati in the Orange Bowl. But that is even worse in my opinion.

Boy, talk about hedging your bets, however:
"The SEC champion -- Georgia, Florida, Alabama or LSU -- would be in prime position with only one loss. The SEC has made its mark on the BCS title game, winning the last two (LSU in 2007 and Florida in 2006) and third in the past five seasons (LSU in 2004)."
More like a 10,000 foot level prediction IMO.
