LSU needs an overhaul on offense. Need to modernize. Has there been a more impressive modernization to an offense than what Kiffin has done . He has HC experience at two schools . Knows what it will take and surely has learned from his mistakes. He has two years of Saban and would have to believe he has matured. It appears to me he has. But an interview with some folks that know how to interview( critical step ) should shake out this important aspect. You want change; Kiffin is change

Noone is going to win the SEC and therefore the NC at LSU without a dominant defense . Pellini would be a tremendous DC and for the right dollars could be had I have to believe. Although many vacancies at HC may rob us of this opportunity. For me to like Kiffin. I have to know who the DC would be. Pellini is my first choice but there are probably 5 or 6 that could work.

My only hesitation here is LSU wins championships with defense and I much rather the defensive coach as the head coach ( Mac , Arnsparger , Saban)

But the combo referred above could be a good team.

Pelini's defense was better than our current one, but it wasn't elite. See the Kentucky, Arkansas, and Alabama games. We can do better than Bo.

Why do some of you only think about offense when wanting a new HC? Give me a complete coach that I know can win and can make sure all phases of the team are on point.

Again be hard to grab him but I rather see a Dan Quinn hire as coach. He has into over defenses where he goes. Relatively young. Think he would make a great college head coach.

Numb nuts, you do realize Kiffen has gotten in trouble with the NCAA at both HC stops he head and got fired for lying to his boss in the NFL

Most coaches come from one side of the ball. Fact is go down the top 25 teams and point me to one that hasn't. Every LSU coach I can recall has developed from one side of the ball

Mac. D
Rein O
Stovall O
Arnsparger D
Archer D
Hallman not sure ( nuff said )
Dinardo O
Saban D
Miles O

Lane Kiffin

Oakland Raiders
On September 30, 2008, Davis fired Kiffin over the telephone

After one season as coach, Kiffin left the Vols during the 2010 recruiting season to accept the head coaching job at the University of Southern California.

USC Trojans
Kiffin's tenure at USC was widely considered a disappointment
Questionable coaching calls and the restrictions of sanctions contributed to a sense of missed opportunity.
