FYI, may not be a bad idea to call and confirm your rooms. We booked in February and there was already an overbooking. I was told then that if there were no rooms available, that they would "walk" us to another hotel.

Called about 2 weeks ago and they said there were no rooms available and that they were sorry for the inconvenience but they were completely full. After counting to 10 and collecting my thoughts, me and the woman had a come to Jesus. She talked to some people, clicked some buttons and now we have our 2 rooms.

I would just hate for anyone to get all the way up there and be screwed....

Cant wait

Should have paid for them ahead of time with a CC.

Irrelevant. They'll still boot you in an oversold situations. Small town hotels during big events are the worst to deal with.

This is typical for Wisconsin. People in Wisconsin are untrustworthy and greedy. You cannot trust them.

It's typical for every SEC town not named Nashville, Knoxville, or Baton Rouge. And even these towns aren't exempt the closer you get to campus.

They have 10 football weekends a year. Outside of that it's not a major travel destination or convention location.

I booked last September and have not checked in since. I will burn the hotel to the ground if we don't have rooms.

"Walking" means they pay for a room at an equivalent hotel for you with the same accommodations.

I love getting walked.

Which is fine when every hotel isn't sold out for 100 miles.

If it came down to it getting screwed I'm fairly certain plenty of LSU fans would be willing to take a family in to share a room even if they're a complete stranger.

And that would have been fine, but they were going to do no such thing for us...
