Seems like a good choice. A hopefully he will see the upshot of being able to pick what team you go to.

does Rae Carruth work better for you?

RC had problems which had him in court as well, but none of the guys you are throwing out did anything to reduce their draft stock days before the draft. I fully understand that those who kill others have a screw loose, but Collins would have to be a flaming retard to kill someone days before probably the biggest event in his life taking place. That's my point and why I questioned his being a part of this from the get go.

People do crazy things in moments of stress.

What stress would be have been having? The stress of trying to figure out which ride he was going to buy with him millions?

If he was a real suspect rather than the cops simply touching all the bases, they wouldn't have waited 3 days to question him once he returned to BR.

As is the norm, seems to have been a whole lot of over reacting to a guy the cops called "not a suspect". imo

failing to pay child support shows the propensity to murder ? That's quite a leap

The whole argument was that La'el had motive to murder this woman because he didn't want to pay child support. Damn, son. You got da derp.

the whole argument was actually what's more likely: 1. that some guy murdered her because she wouldn't let him borrow a her car or 2. that a baby daddy murdered his pregnant mother-to-be

you're the one that got off track and tried to argue the character of the suspect as if people without criminal histories or violent personalities never commit murders

LSU, a college team at the top of NFL team roster contribution, continues to be ignored by the Saints and Payton, which have 0 (zero) LSU players on their roster. With a serious need for O linemen, the Saints could have been in an enviable spot to "recruit" another first round lineman from their own backyard. Yet, Payton's comments after their first pick were that they "never planned to draft Collins anyway". While he didn't disparage Collins, other Payton comments were far from inviting.

Collins' decision to ignore the Saints should not come as a surprise. I will support the Cowboys in their offering to one our own. Go Cowboys! Go Collins; we are proud of you!

Subjects like this bring out responses that amaze me. This is a good example of how you really cannot predict what a jury will do.

Murderers without prior history of violence or criminal behavior are the exception, not the norm.

La'el Collins seemed pretty convinced. At least publicly.

jesus christ, the crux of this entire argument is whether or not collins was being investigated as a suspect. that's it. i really couldn't care less about how likely it was he actually killed the girl. that's not even the argument. i'm sorry if some of you think collins submitting a dna sample was no big deal, but in the real world you are not asked for a dna sample during a criminal investigation if the police don't think there's any chance you were involved. that's just a fact whether any of you choose to accept it or not.

I'm pretty sure Lael had a good thought that he wasn't the father.

You're wasting your time. It's like trying to convince a Scientologist deep in it that Hubbard was a con-man.

Not sure 1 year out of 5 qualifies as being "back". Especially given the Cowboys' history. Maybe slow your roll a bit and see if they can recreate this season's success next year.

I think you need to look up what far fetched means. When something happens a couple times out of 100s of millions, it is far fetched

So the team with arguably the best line in football found will find a way to sign Collins, but the Saints couldn't?

Pretty good move by Collins and the Cowboys. Their O line is nasty.

Probably didn't want to guarantee his entire contract and give him the highest UFA signing bonus possible.
Besides, if I'm La'el, I'm getting the hell out of this state.
