Aside from the putrid red zone offense/conservatism (that has always been shite), this has to be the worst thing about this team. Can anyone explain this to me? We have stud freshmen like Lawrence and Alexander who have played well. Herron has played decent this season. Yet...Gilmore is one of our worst starters on this team, and he may have played more snaps than anyone. I'm dumbfounded. He literally gets pushed around or washed away or shoots the WRONG gap play after play after play.

Obviously Valentine has done some stuff to really piss the coaches off...but if that's the case, don't even dress him out. Him standing on the sideline when we have defensive linemen getting run over and wearing down does no one any good.

Of all the crap that went down yesterday and ended in a loss for LSU, everything within the quote above is the biggest head scratcher of all. I really would like for Coach O to explain this in detail at his next presser.

I agree with you on Gilmore, but this loss does not fall on the defense. Offense and special teams gets the charge.

I almost lost my shite yesterday watching that last drive and the coaches wouldn't sub in a new group of DT's. #99 was getting his arse kicked.

On top of that, why was White not getting ANY reps at MLB. Should have been White and Duke at LB. I'm ok with Donnie playing but get White some reps for christ sake.

And yes, we all know it wasn't the def that lost the game, but still.

With Beckwith out I wanted Aranda to change to a 4-3 to get more beef in the middle of the line.

looks to me like Ed Alexander is better than Gilmore already. Herron and Lawrence are pretty good and at least good enough to spell Neal and Godcheax. But maybe they didn't want to take those two off the field, maybe they weren't gassed. But no explantion for not subbing someone in for Gilmore.

They must see something with Valentine that make them think he can't handle it. When he was playing he did get some push before he got gassed, which only took a few plays.

I agree. I could understand the defensive line rotation. Where was Devon White? Where in the hell was Leonard Fournette? I didn't see him hobbling anywhere?

That's what makes CEO a bad hire. It was obvious that Gilmore and company were getting pushed around but zero adjustments were made by the Whisperer.
