I know it's NSD and there have already been several posts about the receivers next year, but I found some Lacy stats interesting.

Before the bowl game, Lacy has 1,399 yards, 17 TDs, and 98 receptions. He would need 1,602 yards, 9 TDs, and 88 receptions to become the leader in all three statistics.

Not saying he will get any of them, but it will be fun to watch another receiver try and chase some all time records again next year with Nuss throwing the ball. Also these stats would be with 5 years at LSU, but sometimes it pays off to stay in college.

Completely overlooked his first two seasons being at UL. He won't be chasing any of the top records, but could definitely put himself in the top 10 for each.

We should all hope he does or someone else takes the #1 and be a game changer.

Question will be how does he respond to being covered by the opposing team’s #1 corner instead of their #3. All eyes will be on him next year for the most part.
Plus others will have to step up as well!

He's been open as often as Nabers all year. Lacy is a phenomenal route runner, he just has a drop problem.

I agree. But I am pretty sure opponents top corner was on Nabers. Will he get the same separation against their CB1?

You’re combining his stats from UL. But, if he does become the all time leader in all three stats next year, he’ll have the best receiving year ever. So, let’s hope it happens.

You're right that changes everything. Not really in the running for any of those records with just his LSU stats but still hoping he can become another great WR1.

You’re including his stats from 2 years at ULL… he has 48 rec, 731 yds, 7 TDs at LSU

That’s not how this works

Yeap. Lacy had really productive numbers this year, even with his drops. I think he will be fine as our No.1 . He just needs to take this offseason personal and fine tune his catching skills.

Lacy is always open, now he needs to learn how to catch a pass

When you consider that he appears to have fewer drops when making tougher catches, being covered closer may help to drop less. I believe that his issue has always been concentration or shifting his focus from the catch to running before he has secured the ball. With better corners, he will be forced to secure the ball before he can think about turning to look downfield.

Lacy and ALL other WR's, RB's and TE's needs to do this all spring & summer x 10,000.
IMO, the LB's, CB's, and S's should also be doing this to improve their catching (INT) ability

Great stat pull here. So let's have some fun and say Kyren Lacy plays well in the bowl game. He's gone over 100 yards twice this year, so let's say he has 4 catches for 100 yards and a TD. He'd then be 1,502 yards, 8 TDs, and 84 receptions away from being the all-time leader if your stats are correct (I'm not gonna check). He'll then go from the 3rd receiver to the top guy and the QB will switch to a guy who likes to throw it a lot more. If the significant rise in reps and playing against tougher competition in practice raises Lacy's level of play the way that it does for most WRs, it's not crazy to think he can put up numbers close to this.

Kinda wild to think that KYREN LACY of all people has a shot at becoming the all time LSU receiving leader.

Kyren Lacy was a solid receiver over the second half of the year.

Could be argued that in the 2nd half of the season he was almost as productive as Brian Thomas. Not quite on the same level but here are the numbers for the final 6 games from Auburn through A&M (complements of SEC Statcat. Lacy missed Florida so his numbers are over 5 games.

Brian Thomas Jr: 22 catches on 30 targets (73.3%), 435 yards, 6TDs, 19.77 ypc, 2 drops (6.67%). 14.5 yards per target.

Lacy: 15 catches on 20 targets (75%), 294 yards, 5 TDs, 19.6 ypc, 3 drops (15%). Team high (among WRs) 14.7 yards per target.

Clear that Lacy still needs to clean up the drops (15% drop rate). But I'm confident that he will continue to be a solid contributor next year.

Next year could be special for him.

He dropped some easy catches this past season.

If he takes the offseason to work on that and his route running, he could very well be a top WR in 2025.

I see LSU going to a more 2 TE , heavy run offense next year. Easy setup for play action passing. He and Anderson make life for DBs Hell

With the bodies that LSU has, I would like to see a 2 TE pass heavy offense with Pimpton at H-back.
